Fruity, malty, very hoppy aroma. Red, beige head, very nice lace. Very sweet, very bitter, lots of hoppy flavours. Sticky, full and soft. Flavourful and powerful.
Bottle [330ml] shared with HogTownHarry & garthicus -- c/o HogTownHarry. Pours a murky amber-red with a small diminishing frothy off-white head. Aroma of citrus hops, rye malt, a hint of alcohol and some spices. Flavour of resiny hops, rye malt, some fruit, alcohol and a big bitter finish. Medium bodied. Another really good Kernel beer. cloudy dark brown, smooth light brown head.
very nice bitter hoppy aroma, also slightly malty sweet and caramelly sweet. aroma matches the color well, being a bit more full than a flat-out hop aroma. rye can also be sensed.
flavor is sweet matls, bitter hops, syupy caramelly note, faint exotic fruits, but the flowery bitter hops dominate. This is super tasty for a 9% alc. beer. Kernel did it again, a super tasty hoppy beer. Thanks for trading it with me, papsoe (who got it from madmitch6 i think)
33 cL bottle. Pours hazy brown with a small tan head. Aroma is fruity and crisp hoppy. Crisp hoppy, bitter and citrusy. Grapefruity, citrusy and crisp hoppy finish. Smooth and fruity. Dry and bitter finish.

330ml bottle shared with blankboy and garthicus. Best before 27 04 13. Murky brick red with a smallish beige frothy head. Dry, somewhat leafy resin-bitter aroma, roasty, some alcohol - "red" cereal grain, nice!! Taste - same, a wonderful floral overlay, fairly strong alcohol, real "rye" character but not overwhelming - nice balance, even though this is a tad big - and while not super fresh-tasting, it’s solid, considering I think it was bottled over a year ago. Thick body, chewy, a bit astringent, mild carbonation, a fairly long super malty and bitter finish. Once again, well done Kernel. garthicus (2952) - Dublin, IRELAND - SEP 5, 2011
Thanks to HogTownHarry: Appearance: Murky brown, medium off white head. Aroma: Perfume, musky, quite a hop kick in the nose, alcohol. Flavour: Wow, a big rye punch, alcohol, wood, nicely hopped with a long pine and boozy finish. Very nice.

Bottle 33 cl. Courtesy of yespr. Pours an opaque dark amber with an off-white head. Intensely citrusy hop aroma. Quite full-bodied, plenty of fruit and caramel but the citrusy hops dominate and leave an intense almost herbal bitterness. 020911 Benjii (3050) - Edinburgh, SCOTLAND - SEP 3, 2011
Bottle from Kernel Brewery. Smells pleasant. Like hops and coffee, maybe a little fruity. Copper colour. Tastes nice doesn’t it ! No dodgy after taste . Tastes hoppy, a bit caramel, choc liquor . Tasty.
