Level 42 bottleshare, Santa is flying past below! Opaque dark brown beer, good dark tan head that dissipates quickly. Palate is airy and semi dry, reasonable fine carbonation. Softish and reasonably rich dark malts. Mild dark malt cream and a little dark chocolate. Light roast bitterness. Modest tangy dark fruits. Light and mildly bitter finish. Standard stout with that little bit of Kernel pixie dust that elevates it.
330ml bottle thanks to cesarpball. Aroma has melassis and yeast. Mouthfeel is very smooth and taste has roasted and chocolade notes. Nice! Scopey (15753) - Croydon, Greater London, ENGLAND - DEC 28, 2016
Bottle at level 42, thanks to Ken. It pours black with a thick tan head. The aroma is rich roasted malts, quite savoury, meaty, toasty, coffee grounds and bitter dark chocolate. The taste is slick, rich roasted malt, salty, savoury, meaty action, coffee grounds, bitter chocolate, spice and warming alcohol with a slick dry, mocha finish. Medium - fulsome body and moderate, foamy carbonation. A touch too savoury perhaps, but enjoyable enough. RichTheVillan (8248) - Birmingham, West Midlands, ENGLAND - DEC 27, 2016
