On tap at St. Andrews Brewing Co. Kernel - Export Stout - 7.1% Rich, slightly boozy flavor that is mildly bitter. Full bodied. Higher ABV is more evident in the aroma than in the taste and almost completely hidden in the mouthfeel. Very smooth. Low, but acceptable, carbonation and a weak head. A hint of vegetative aspects in the aroma. Some suggestions of barrel aging in the flavor.

GlasgowTAD (1845) - Glasgow, SCOTLAND - APR 24, 2015
Pours crude black with a large and dense mocha-brown head. Aroma is coffee, dark chocolate, raisins and slight dried fruit. Taste is coffee at first followed by a touch of sweetness in the form of raisins and chocolate, leather and slight smokiness are next to descend upon the ’buds. Full bodied with a rich mouthfeel. Kernel have nailed everything.

Bottle. Black pour with a dark tan head. Aroma is cocoa, light coffee, chocolate roast, and fairly assertive but complimentary pine and hop bitterness. Taste is rounded chocolate with pine and hop bitterness followed by light roast and coffee with some background dark fruit into the finish. Clean, somewhat sharp mouthfeel. Good hop forward stout.

Warka zabutelkowana 15.09.2014. 6,7 % alc. Piana: Dość niska (1 palec), drobnopęcherzykowa, beżowa. Opadła po ok 3 minutach. Zostawia duży lacing. Barwa: Czarna. Ciężko określić czy piwo jest klarowne. Aromat: Świeżo zmielona kawa, czekolada, paloność. Gdzieś w tle wyczuwalne ciemne owoce. Smak: Espresso.
