Opaque black stout, good tan head. Crispish dry palate. Minerally dark malt and bitter coffee. Trace of cream and a whisper of orangey hop fruit. Dry crisp fresh finish. The fresh crisp palate elevates this stout out of the odinary.
UPDATED: AUG 5, 2011 33 cl bottle from Menno’s place. Nearly black, thin brown head that settles quickly to an edge. Aroma of burnt espresso and dark cocoa. Taste is dark roasted coffee, bitter cocoa. Finish is very bitter. Decent body. Could use a slight throttle back of the bittering hops, but otherwise a very nice stout.
