Angebrannte Schokofassspritbombe. Viel extravagante Kantigkeit läßt es ordentlich krachen. Ohnmacht. MONTEREY BAR zu Berlin. 0,1/2,50€ Fass.

Draft. Black beer with a beige head. The aroma has notes of roasted malr, soy sauce, and chocolate. The flavor is sweet with notes of roasted malt, alcohol, whiskey, and alcohol, leading to a dry alcoholic finish.

Bottle shared by Theydon_Bois at RBHQ - thanks again, Cloin! Pours a cloudy deep brown with a small tan ring for a head. Nice Scotch barrel throughout, with oak, peat, dark chocolate, earth, caramel, roasted malts. Medium-bodied, with moderate carbonation and an oaky, peaty, boozy, and sweet mouthfeel. Nice balance. Well done.

Bottle to snifter (thanks C. Loin). Looks good; a fairly opaque dark brownish black with thin bubbly tan lacing and soft carbonation. Smells of chocolate, oak, and mild scotch (and related peat) from the barrel. Tastes like it smells, but a bit peatier, with a silky full-bodied mouthfeel. Good beer that I’d love to try in a bourbon or (non-scotch) whiskey barrel.

Bottle at RBWG 2016. Thanks Theydon. Nose is boozy fudge with light vanilla. Moderate notes of higher alcohol. Taste is lightly smokey with a vanilla and fudge presence. Pretty damn good.
