Excellent Imperial Stout. Bitter, roasted malts... not very alcoholic taste... pretty good overall.

UPDATED: APR 23, 2016 Bottle. Pours dark black. Little carbonation but poured from a slight height produces a lovely tan head and lovely lacing. Aroma is coffee, milky chocolate, toffee, dark fruit, plum, liquorice, dark caramel, hint of ash, with some pine hops in the background. Flavour is medium bitter, quite sweet, oily, with a surprisingly lovely smooth finish despite its ABV, with the booze coming through at the end. Impressive, but not quite the best Imperial Stout I’ve had to date.

Bottle, 0,33l Aroma of chocolate, coffee, plums in chocolate, some very pleasant alcohol notes. Black with red reflections, tan head was not very high, but long-lasting. Heavy sweetness countered by medium bitterness. Pretty thick and oily, while low-carbonated, which made it very drinkable One of the best beers I’ve drunk

Medium/heavy aroma of malts, caramel, chocolate, roasted malts, coffee and hops.

Opaque black beer with a slight brown head.

Starts medium/heavy sweet with malts, caramel, chocolate; ends slightly bitter and dry with roasted malts, coffee and hops.

This beer is intense, complex and balanced. Does not have a lot of different flavours, but nails every single one of them. Perfect mixture of chocolate and coffee.

Bottle: The aroma consists of moderate chocolate, caramel, molasses, vanilla, and roast. It’s a dark brown with some orange highlights and a small beige small khaki head that quickly fades to a minimal film outlined by a thin ring. The flavor starts with moderate chocolate, caramel, and molasses. The finish has light-moderate roasted malt, anise, and a touch of vanilla. It’s medium bodied with mild carbonation.

330 ml bottle shared by Alex (thanks!). Deep brown black with a tight mocha head. Rich chocolate, coffee, booze, brown liquor, a little vanilla. Medium+ body with fairly relaxed carbonation. Rich chocolate and coffee, booze, lightly fruity, vanilla, lightly tangy/vinous, lightly sweet, fairly bitter with a long, inky finish. Quite nice.

Bottle from Craft and Draft, Amsterdam. Strong alcohol with mocha and vanilla aroma and faint light red fruit. Opaque, viscous black under a lasting, light brown blanket. Sweet and alcoholic and bitter mocha flavour with some earthy hops and very faint red fruit. Medium full body, medium carbonation, smooth and slightly warming.

Nische (2523) - Stockholm, SWEDEN - NOV 27, 2015
Pitch black with tan head. Aroma of dark chocolate, roasted malts, some coffee. Roasted, bitter taste with coffee and dark chocolate. Quite full bodied with a lingering bitter, roasted finish.
