330ml bottle at L’Autre Oeil. Black pour, brown hues and sparse brown bubbles. Intense flavors of roasted cereals, coffee, chocolate, licorice and molasses with fruity notes. Light sourness. Full body, faint carbonation, oily texture. Gerbeer (3698) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - MAY 19, 2015
On tap. Pours black with bubbly white head. Aromas of chalk, ash, and dry roasted malts. Flavors of same with additional salty mineral elements (like an oyster stout). Very nice but overpriced. fkoolen (1185) - Maastricht, NETHERLANDS - MAY 14, 2015
Bottle at home. Oily thick, black coloured and topped by a brown creamy head. Big bodied sweet and roasted maltiness bursts into the nose and tastebuds with espresso, dark bitter chocolate, light toffee and caramel, creamy. As it warms it gets some ripe fruits and nuts, but its main character is dry and bitter. Long lingering finish, boozy warming too. Medium carbonation, oily mouthfeel. I?ll be looking out for a BA version of this beer. Diamorotic (1) - Warszawa, POLAND - MAY 9, 2015 does not count
Outstanding beer. Creamy, smooth texture. Delicate coffee aromas when cold, delicate chocolate. Dark fruits like pitahaya can be smelled. Very, very good beer.
Bitternes is simmilar to coffee, it is a bit sweet. Coffee-chocolate-fruit aroma is great. Awesome beer.
