33 cl systembolaget. En öl som smakar mycket men även mycket alkohol. Detta drar ner betyget något. likeatrainwreck (573) - Stockport, Cheshire, ENGLAND - MAR 14, 2015
UPDATED: JUL 27, 2015 Black with a thick brown head, aromas of cocoa and roasted malts. Thick, oily and warm in the mouth, tastes of coffee, cocoa, malts, molasses, with a slight hoppy aftertaste and a nice bitterness running through. Masks the ABV well, but still has the lovely alcohol warmth on the finish. Not sickly or overly sweet like some imperial stouts can be. Really superb. One to savour over a couple of hours. pilsnerrogge (2975) - Finspång, SWEDEN - MAR 14, 2015

Appearance: Black colour with a small beige head.
Aroma: Roasted malt, liquorice, some chocolate.
Body: Medium body, low carbonation.
Flavour: Roasted malt, caramel, liquorice.
Aroma is how you think it should be with any stout. Cocoa and malts, a kind of held back aroma though, and a slight coffee note. The taste is also how you think it would be at first, but after the first "standard" stout taste, it develops a tiny herbal finish that is also a little bit sour. There’s a medium bitterness to this one, and the herbal touch follows all the way through. A fine classic stout that hides the ABV really well. Solid but maybe a little bit boring by today’s standard. I guess my great-great-grandfather thought it was awesome though?

330ml bottle. Pours black in the glass with a creamy tan head with small bubbles. Smells a lot of coffee. The taste is like the scent, much coffee! Also roasted coffee beans and slightly sweetness of dried dark fruit, black pepper och some warming alcohol. Quite complex flavor and there are new tones for every sip. Long, dry and bitter aftertaste. Good stuff. Homer321 (5143) - Melboring, Florida, USA - MAR 5, 2015
Bottle from cgarvieuk from a year ago. poured into a duvel glass. pitch black with minimal head. deep cocoa aroma with chocolate and milk. Taste is fudge, brownies, a very light tartness in the finish to dry it out. no real sign of alcohol warming. A very pleasant beer. Tonkatruck (42) - SPAIN - MAR 5, 2015

Bottle from the brewery. Pours jet black with a creamy beige head. Roasted and hoppy aroma. Sweet roasted flavor with light tar and licorice notes. Coffee. CarlJonas (231) - Linköping, SWEDEN - FEB 28, 2015
Pours pretty much black with a big brown head that leaves a long lasting lid. Rich aroma of dark roasted coffee, chocolate, vanilla. The taste is very well rounded bitter-sweet upfront, with a long lasting finish somewhat too ashen and astringent for my taste. Full bodied and slightly oily with lots of tiny bubbles that quickly dissipates. Very good, but I would’ve preferred a smoother finish.
