Pours black with lazing tan head. Aroma is roasted, chocolate, vanilla, burned caramel and dried fruits. Taste is complex semi-sweet malty with dark malts, chocolate, dark caramel, dried fruit, vanilla, milk and has notes of coffee. Finish is malty and dry and has a rich and complex aftertaste.
Bottle. Pitch black with small to medium, thick, light brown head. Heavy malty aroma, caramel, roasted, coffee, lots of milk chocolate, dried dark fruits up front - pruns, raisins, slightly toffee and licorice. Taste is heavy sweet and moderately bitter, stable, long duration. Full body, thick and oily texture, soft carbonation, finish is semi-bitter, semi-dry, slightly roasted, dark fruits. ABV is extremely well hidden, the brew is highly drinkable, it tastes like plums coated with milk chocolate. Summary: Very good brew. It shows how based on milk chocolate and dried fruits RIS should look like. Podsumowanie: Mleczna czekolada, toffi, krówki, sporo suszonych śliwek i rodzynek. Bottle at home. Bought at Odd Bins, London Bridge. Sweet and sour coffee aroma. Chocolate too. Dark with chestnut highlights. The dark beige head soon dissipated. Sweet, a hint of bitterness that is more obvious in the finish. Full bodied. Creamy, even slick. No carbonation. Long finish, slightly astringent at its tail end. Good stuff.
