UPDATED: DEC 3, 2014 Bottle; from Brwery, thanks Evin! Opaque black colour, mocha lacing diminishes, aroma is smoke, chocolate, light peat, fudge, some citrus hops. Taste is superb. Stunning dark Belgian chocolate, like real premium stuff, smoke, some leather, some peat, fudge, toffee, roasted malts, a littel rough on the bitternes, oil ,vanilla, raisins, brown sugar, depth and complexity is stunning, really long drinking and warms up very very nicely. Ken is right, lay this for a year and it woulld be intrigueing. I may do the same. Great work, Evin! Drinkability is there and alcohol is well hidden. Great stuff. Bottle - bottled on 7th October 2013 - re-rate. Deep guey chocolate gateaux; motor oil; tar; leather; velvet; stupidly drinkable for the abv; nice roasted malts; slight charcoal; cigar ash and wooden notes. Some blackcurrant and oil and cream. A very rich and rewarding imperial stout and in my eyes probably the best in the country of course along with GKHR SR. Aged this is even better! 4.5

Uzupełnienie profilu notatki.
Nalewa się praktycznie bez piany, i po chwili znika nawet ta szczątkowa. Kolor Czarny. Aromat, kwaskowy, wiśnia w czekoladzie, kakao, likierowy, waniliowy, bardzo przyjemny. Smak, intensywna gorzka czekolada, kawa, suszone owoce, lekko popiół wpadający w nuty wędzone, alkohol wyczuwalny ale w formie szlachetnej przyjemnej. Struktura oleista gładka, słodycz umiarkowana, goryczka wyraźna pasująca. Świetny RIS Bardzo Dobre.

Deep brown with small espresso head. Nose is coffee, soy sauce, molasses, some walnuts and nail polish. Taste is moderately bitter. Notes of roasted malts, coffee, burnt bread. Hoppy undertones. Ashy and boozey aftertaste. Creamy and sticky. Low to medium carbonation. Full bodied. Good but not wow.

At Stefan's Single Trip Tasting. Pale yellowish beige, thinly moussy head lacing in 'dots' with an immediately opening middle; black robe with deep chestnut brown edges. Lovely aroma of molten black chocolate, 'fondant' chocolate bars, mocha ice cream, toffee, black pepper, walnut oil, figs, cured meat, bitter herbs, 'haemoglobin' iron, pipe tobacco, wet leather, hint of soy sauce. Sweet dried figs in the onset, thin meaty umami touch, softish carbo, thick and oily mouthfeel; deep and thick nutty and caramelly, eventually beautifully black chocolate-like maltiness, coffeeish roasted bitterness in the end, burnt toast but softly so, spiciness of peppery hops combined with a peppery, but non-astringent, whisky-like booziness yet very well placed; coffeeish roasted flavour lingers for a long time. Exemplary imperial stout, quite classical in its make-up but very decent and technically perfectly executed - the kind of standard I expect from this brewery.

From bottle pours thick oily black with medium tan and frothy head. Welcoming aroma of roasted coffee, toast, nutty, licorice and a touch of soy sauce. Strong medium sweet flavour perfectly balanced with roasty bitterness. Thick slick oily mouth feel and long lasting finish. Definitely a fantastic beer!

Bottle from London, thanks Lagziba. Motor oil black pour, little tan head. Roasted coffee aroma. Creamy body, nutty, toast, roasted coffee flavor. Intense taste, really delicious. Palate runs on and on, strong but not boozy. Really badass. Great night cap.

Tap at Luppolo Station (Rome). Black pour, medium brownish foam with drafts. Nose: milk cocoa, butter cookies, pan cakes. Mouth: soft carbo, muck mocha, coffee and chocolate. Rough powdery somehow, tart end.

Postgusto a chocolate, ligera vainilla y ceniza.

Molto ben strutturata. Eccellente Stout
