Bottle from the brewery, drunk 30th May 2011. Clear copper with a line of whitish head. Nose has bready malt with a hint of citrus and resin. Clay too. Slightly warming mouthfeel... light caramel, peppery and resiny hop notes. Quite sweet. tashi and I had a bottle when we bought them and this is better than that was. Palate is a little oily but not much. I’ve had so many amazing beers from the Kernel and from Dark Star that when one that is merely (very) good comes along, it feels like a let down! Backlog rate. Dark brown color. Big boozy body, citrus/marmalade hops and sweet cake dough-like malt notes, very balanced. Warming alcohol notes at the end add some punch to the bitter finish. One of the better Kernels. Theydon_Bois (22066) - Hazlemere, the lower Xhitlerns, Buckinghamshire, ENGLAND - JAN 4, 2013

Pours a hazy medium amber with cream foamy head. Marmeladey hops and fruity malt nose. Orange pith bitterness followed by sweet marmelade, with gentle carbonation and a moreish abrupt finish. Benzai (17005) - Oirschot, THE NETHERLANDS, NETHERLANDS - FEB 16, 2012
33cl bottle bought at The Kernel, shared with Joes. A bit hazy copper / orange color, small white head. Smell malts and a bit old hops with some yeast. Tastes about the same: malts, hops and dominating yeast. Soft carbonation, medium body. jackl (8605) - Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA - DEC 18, 2011
Bottle. Copper orange color with a lovely off-white head. The nose is sweet, oranges, some chewy toffee, medium grains. The body’s a bit hot and alcoholic, some floral bitterness, sugary sweet finish. The body’s full and well-developed. Aggressive. I’m a fan. pivnizub (11002) - Bochum, GERMANY - DEC 11, 2011
Bottle: Hazy, orangey coloured, stable creamy off-white head, solid fruity and piney-hoppy nose, sweet grains or sweet malt underneath, shy traces of alcohol as well; moderate to solid sweet-bitter flavour, medium to full bodied, very soft; lingering fruity/sweet-malty finish with a solid piney-hoppy aftertaste. A good A L E in my opinion..... MoritzF (10255) - Ottobrunn, GERMANY - NOV 30, 2011
