COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
We have brewed a beer to commemorate the birth of our son. It is a strong dark beer which hopefully will keep until he is of age to drink it. Brewed in collaboration with Phil Lowry, Simon Siemsgluess and Chrigl Luthy. Bottled.

Courtesy of larsniclas. Pours black black with a great brown head leaving lace. Roasted, meaty, peaty, dark fruits and fidges aroma. Fullbodied meaty mouthfeel. Tary, meaty, velvety, sourish and salty licorice flavor. Nice palate. Finishes salty, meaty and longlived tart.

Marsiblursi (3083) - Göteborg, SWEDEN - FEB 4, 2011
UPDATED: FEB 5, 2011 (Bottle) Pours black with a medium, brown head. The aroma is really roasted for a English Imp - tar, asphalt, black coffee and cocoa powder. The hop profile is also more notable then your average UK Imp. Still well balanced. The flavour is light sweet to dry, medium bitter and light to medium acidic. Coffee, cocoa and tar alongside a stable hop profile. The mouthfeel is fat, round and oily with light carbonation. Lingering, super roasted and citric hoppy finish. Full bodied. Simple, but fantastic.

DruncanVeasey (8326) - Nr NUNEATON, Warwickshire, ENGLAND - JAN 27, 2011
330ml bottle from Beermerchants. Have you seen the waxy layer of coffee-coloured filth at the bottom of the bottle?? Bonus point. Ink pour with a moussey, manilla-coloured head. Aroma sweet, blackened, fruity...Neopolitan ice cream with fudge bits, bonfire, smouldering wood. Flavour pungent, deep and bittersweet; a spine of plummy, Struise-like red apple and nectarine buried by a charred, oozing morass of espresso dregs, soy sauce, tar, ashes, fudge. Fat and bulbous. A lick too much sugar. Afters cigar, black bean sauce, black chocolate, charcoal, burnt sugar. Leaves the tackiness of candy floss on the lips. Had a Black Albert the other night (my joint no.1 Earth beer, if the ratings are to be believed), but I enjoyed this more. World class- and nearly better.

Bottle 33 cl. Courtesy of yespr. Pours a thick and syrupy pitch black with a tiny brown head. Hard roast malt in the nose, almost tar-like. Very thick and solid body, extreme roastiness, almost charcoalish with loads of chocolate and a solid malt astringency in the finish. 200111

Bottle purchased from Beer Merchants and consumed 31.12.10 Pours black, really shark eye black with a beige head. There is loads of liquorice, dark bitter chocolate and coffee in this. It’s a cracking beer and one that I really must re-visit again, superb stuff! A8 A5 T8 P4 Ov16 4.1
