Keg at Euston Tap on 19/3. Wowza! This was fantastic, and I've had it a few times since. Definitely the best Kernel beer I've had in some time. Although I love their pales and sours... their dark beers are so on point. Glad this was a single beer I had, because the flavour lingered wonderfully for the best part of an hour!

Bottle from Offie & Toffee. The head on this porter was a thing of beauty, milky coffee coloured that left a gorgeous lacing down the inside of the glass. A nice roasted malt and coffee aroma and both were amply present in the flavour. The bitter hops were perfectly balanced alongside that strong flavour of malt. The mouthfeel was caressing and lingered long on the palate. The empty glass retained a coating of the porter and it left a rather pretty golden glow when I held it up to the light. This was lovely.

Bottle at home. Appearance is black, hazy with a tan head. Full body, texture not too creamy, average carbonation. Nose is toffee, fruity and coffee. Taste is toffee/coffee with a hint of pine and a very bitter aftertaste. Will drink again but next time i’ll keep the yeast sediment in the bottle.
