Idiosynkrasie (7537) - Bielefeld, GERMANY - JUN 17, 2015
330ml bottle. Red glowing dark brown colour with average to huge, creamy, fairly lasting, well lacing, beige head. Dark malty aroma with hints of coffee, grassy hoppy overtones. Taste is dry to bitter hoppy, minimally chalky, additional dryness by a roasty dark malty note, subtle sweetness, hints of coffee, dark chocolate with orange, mocha. Combines, contrary to US West Coast specimen of the style that typically have a bitter, roasty, peppery, green onion note resulting from the dark malt and hop mixture, more fruity hop notes with a refined dark malty basis, delivering more sweet chocolately notes.

gunnar (9096) - Sandnes, NORWAY - APR 25, 2014
Bottled. Pours clear deep dark ruby with a huge creamy, long lasting beige head. Lovely inviting aroma, some cocoa , dark light roasted malts and strong piney hops. Taste is light sweet, more roasted malts, cocoa and some nice piney and resiny hops. Creamy mouthfeel, average carbonation, lovely beer again from Bermondsey.

Habanero (4682) - Tranbjerg, DENMARK, DENMARK - MAR 30, 2014
Bottled. Pours deep brown with an average tan head. Aroma of grapefruit, toasted malt and pine. Sweet flavor that ends up dry and solid bitter. Medium bodied, oily texture and soft carb. A very nice black IPA.

angel77 (3392) - oviedo, SPAIN - JAN 10, 2014

SlackerMads (3360) - DENMARK - DEC 20, 2013
Bottle date 2013-07-31. Dark brown close to black with a medium sized slowly diminishing lacing tan head. Soapy, light flowery, rye bread, tea, green hops, light burnt malts. Medium body, oily/watery texture, medium carbonation. A bit thin perhaps, but the finish is nice, dry and light bitter. Light sweetness. Grows on you. Not bad.

Beersiveknown (5284) - NORTHERN IRELAND - NOV 11, 2013
Bottle at home from ales by mail
dark ruby brown, fluffy beige head which stuck around a while. Pine, peaches, citrus...slight oxidation notes perhaps (july bottling). Slightly toasty malt at first then some orange and red berries leading to a longish dry chocolate and orange peel finish. Hops muted somewhat but still fantastic. Carbonation perfect.

olio (10290) - Tampere, FINLAND - NOV 8, 2013
33 cl bottle.
Pours pitch black color with a huge beige head. Aroma roasted malts, rye, some burnt notes, chocolate, mild hops and grape fruits. Flavor of grape fruits, rye malts, burnt wood and cocoa. A bit harsh and not that fresh anymore, sadly, otherwise decent.

Color ruby oscuro con espuma color crema densa y con buena formacion. Aroma de pino resinas y uva. En boca, con densidad media es refrescante con presencia de tostados y un final amargo con un equilibrio entre resinas y frutas. Excelente.
