Keg to tankard at the Bull and Hide London as The Kernel India Pale Ale Centennial Mosaic Simcoe, 7.0%. Hazy yellow, still with a foamy beige head that leaves full lacing. Aroma is lemon boiled sweets. Body is frothy with soft to tingly carbonation. Taste is melon and lemongrass, grapefruit, grassy hops with an almost salty finish. Building pine notes. Tasty kernel stuffs. (8-4-8-3-16=3.9)

Towey1989 (3324) - Stoke On Trent, Staffordshire, ENGLAND - AUG 4, 2017
Bottle at Beerdock Leek. Pours a hazy orange colour with a medium off white head. Aroma of grapefruit, onion, some orange, pine, slight apricot, a hint of bready malts and subtle floral hops. Taste of grapefruit, orange, some resin, slight peach, apricot, a touch of dankness, a little bready malts, a hint of caramel and subtle floral hops. Medium bodied and an oily texture. A dryish, slightly resinous, fruity hop bitterness in the finish. Another great Kernel IPA, this time with fruit, citrus and slight resin from the centennial hops. Subtley dank with a malty sweetness to balance it all out. Very enjoyable.

20/VI/17 - 33cl bottle from De Hopduvel (Gent) @ home - BB: 4/IX/17, bottled: 4/V/17 (2017-934)

Clear deep orange to almost amber beer, big creamy off-white head, stable, bit adhesive. Aroma: piny, resinous, some citrus, bit grassy, some tropical fruits, mainly unripe pineapples. MF: soft carbon, medium to full body. Taste: sweet and malty start, some caramel, pretty bitter, resinous, bit cheesy, dank, pine notes. Aftertaste: pineapples, grapefruit, citrus, bit cheesy, some sweaty feet, malts, bitter, some marzipan.

15/VII/17 - on tap @ Gollem (Antwerpen) - probably same batch as above on bottle (2017-xxx)

Clear orange beer, small creamy off-white head, little stable, bit adhesive. Aroma: sweaty feet, grains, cheese, slightly fruity, some marzipan. MF: soft carbon, medium body. Taste: bit sweet, lots of tropical fruits, resinous, citrus, pineapple, nice bitterness. Aftertaste: bit sweet, nice bitterness, tropical fruits, hoppy, resinous. I liked it better fresher. Or maybe not right after a double ipa (drank this after the Stigbergets Children’s Village @ Gollem)

Draft glass @ Gollem: Omnipollo Craft Beer Madness. Clear darker golden, big creamy white head. Nose is mellow soap, grain, weeds. Taste is too soapy, basic grain, weeds, stone fruit. Body is grass, grain & soap. Not the most impressive Kernel IPA. I expected something more explosive given the hops.

jamestulloch (4361) - Edinburgh, SCOTLAND - JUL 11, 2017
Bottle from Salt Horse. Hazy amber body with a medium off-white head. Low carbonation. Good lacing. Aroma of flower petals, apricot and blood orange. Flavour of parma violets and green mango. Medium body with a smooth, creamy texture. Soft fizz. A tangy, distinctive IPA.

nihtila (3952) - Edinburgh, SCOTLAND - JUN 30, 2017
Bottle from Salt Horse. Clear golden, white head. Nose is tangerine, apricot, bready, fresh juicy hoppiness. Tastes quite juicy fruity, soft carbonation, citrus, orange, mango, pine.. decent bitterness, very good.

3.9
McNeillR (2329) - Edinburgh, SCOTLAND - JUN 28, 2017
Dense golden, fairly clear and soft white head. Nose is quite cheesy, sweaty pine and dried apricot sweetness. Initial taste is gritty mandarin, tense bitterness and a really gummy citrus bite. Carbonation is soft, proper squeaky bitter burn. Finishes a decent clap of papaya and fleshy grapefruit, then pure mandarin juice burn on the linger. A real squeaker on the bitterness front. Bottle, Salthorse.

15th June 2017
Hazy gold beer, tidy pale cream colour head. Palate is light, semi dry and has decent fine carbonation. Light smooth malts, mild creamy sweetness. Good pithy orange hops, some tangerine. Mild hop spice. A little bitterness builds. Muted Mosaic tropical fruits. Light finish. Nice.
