What a treat this brewery is. And what a pain in the ass they are for making such amazing beers, and Norway being outside their meager distribution. A really well crafted, hoppy beer with a drinking ease, covering up the quite hefty 7.1 ABV (steady now!). I love the Kernel. Leighton (21296) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - FEB 25, 2012
Bottle at the brewery, shared with Thomas. Pours hazy, glowing gold with a moderate, white foam head. Dry, lemony orange citrus aroma. Dusty and fresh - that’s it. Medium sweet flavor, some dry white bread, yeast, light pine. Medium bodied with fine carbonation. Very dry finish, with moderate sweetness, toasted grass and mild pine, some mild grapefruit. One of the more restrained Kernel IPAs I can recall. Absurdly drinkable and refreshing. Real good. madmitch76 (24807) - , Essex, ENGLAND - MAR 9, 2012

Very hazy amber beer, tidy white head. Smooth semi dry palate. Lovely Chinook hops! Gooseberry with a touch of lime underpinned by a mild earthy skunk. Softish semi dry finish. Fantastic!

Keg at The Bull. Hazy gold beer, small white head. Smooth palate that develops biting fine carbonation. Sweetish malts, some cream. Touch of fresh orange and then strong hop spice. Pine and marmalade before a fairly strong bitter and hop spicy finish. Bitter linger. Robust. 3.8
330ml bottle from Hippo Beers. Hazy yellow amber, reasonable head. Tropical fruit & hop aroma. Resin biscuit peach apricot and hop flavour. Bitter hoppy aftertaste. Another great Kernel IPA. mR_fr0g (12128) - Hertfordshire, ENGLAND - NOV 13, 2013
Bottle at home from the brewery. Aroma is really nice resin and wood some dank and sweet caramel note. Really reminds me of arrogant bastard - never been able to identify chinook before this. Clear orange pour with a thin persistent white head with some lace. Flavour has the classic simple kernel malt bill, biscuity with some carmel. Hops are resin with some slight pine. light dank. Much nicer more balanced version than arogant bastard.

Just top draw IPA from Kernel. Yet to have an average one. High citrus, grapefruit in particular. So drunkable :-D decaturstevo (6244) - decatur, Tennessee, USA - SEP 19, 2013
Slightly hazed gold pour with creamy white head and lace. Aroma is resiny hops and sweet caramel malt. Sweet bready caramel malt and some citrus/resiny hop flavor. Nice medium/full bitter finish. The citrus through more on the front and the resin on the back. Medium bodied with good carbonation. a nice beer. weaselkenievil (1608) - Cheshire, ENGLAND - MAY 6, 2014
Bottle at Warry’s, from Brewtique, Macclesfield. Poured a slightly hazy gold with a medium white head. Aroma is lovely and hoppy, some lemon, orange. Flavour is more juicy hops, blackcurrant, grapefruit, more citrus. Medium sweetness. Refined and awesome. leaparsons (10554) - Wigston, Leicestershire, ENGLAND - MAR 17, 2012
Bottle. Hazy orange gold with a thin foam. Aromas are pineapple and grapefruit with dusty yeast and lemon. Woody and spicy with honey. Flavours are sweet pineapple syrup with bittersweet grapefruit. Rich floral honey with herbal, spices. Great. wyzzywyz22 (2108) - Wirral, Merseyside, ENGLAND - APR 25, 2012
Bottle, Stirchley Wines, Birmingham. Poured a murky amber colour with a tight yet lingering white head. Aroma of fresh grapefruit, yeast, straw and grassy hop. Some very tasty tropical fruit present in the flavour, pineapple and mango being the most prominent, in tandem with a little sweetness and some gently building hop bitterness. Hugely drinkable beer with bags of finesse. Great stuff.
