from 50cl bottle, poured a slight hazy orange colour with a white head. sweet fruit hops from the citra, peach, fresh mango, light grains, citrus, bubblegum and light herbal notes. taste is dry bitter, less fruit compared to the nose 77ships (11051) - Antwerpen, BELGIUM - MAY 9, 2016
Draft @ Chez Moeder Lambiek Original. Hazy orange, creamy white head. Nose is big Kernel yeast, mellow peach hop. Taste is a bit too yeasty for me, mellow hop, melon, peach, grapefruit, low white sugar. Yeasty body. Too yeasty for me too really shine, low sweetness, still pleasant & quaffable beer by Kernel, not one of their better ones for me or at least this batch wasn’t. kraddel (8892) - Antwerp, BELGIUM - MAY 7, 2016
tap . Pours unclear blonde. Good white head. Smell is rather weak. Bit hoppy. Taste is bit bitter, very mild though. Fruity, slightly ttropical. teorn88 (8066) - Rimini, ITALY - NOV 15, 2015
Keg at CBC CG, London. It pours a cloudy pale golden color with a medium white head. Aroma is kernel at its best: full of tangerine nectarines grass citrus peel light weed. Taste has more mildly sweet apricots and stone fruit, grapefruit grass, weed, citrus peel, orange rind. Medium bodied with good carbonation. Overall, fantastic IPA, a pint was not enough. t’s the standard Kernel minimal design bottle and comes in at 6.9%. Now Kernel more or less patented London Murky-another thing guaranteed to get the chattering beer classes chattering-so no surprise to find it poured a murky golden orange with a thin off-white head. But it wasn’t actually that murky; I was expecting a real stodge of a beer, but I’ve seen worse. Aroma was a straightforward blast of citrus: grapefruit, orange and a little tinned pineapple. Mouthfeel was good with lots of rich notes of orange, lemon, grapefruit and a touch of grassiness. Drinks well for the strength and builds to a clean, bitter citric fruit aftertaste.
May look murky but tastes a lot better than it looks.

Not as softly understated as the Pale ale I just had, though with the bright, aggressively poignant citra and heavily citric centennial, I wasnt expecting it to be so. Still same great appearance, leaving the sediment behind, with a well-retained head and obvious unfiltered/bottle conditioned carbonation.
I don’t really love the two hops together. I didn’t consult the hop pairing chart, so I don’t know if they technically go well together, but I find both to be aggressive and overly bitter/acidic. Still, you’ve got to appreciate the cleanliness of the beer, the attenuation but soft and substantial texture of the malts and the lack of alcohol or any flaw. Even with all my complaining, it still wasn’t obnoxiously acidic or anything. Very refreshing and easy to drink, actually. Hope to try some more combos of less citrusy hops.
Bottle, Londis, Penny Lane, Liverpool. Hazy orange looks with a small off white head. Lovely tropical fruit and citrus in the beak. Gentle mouthfeel. Juicyy citrus and killer citra hoppage aplenty in the flavour. Spot on bitterness. A Kernel IPA truly is one of life’s great pleasures, and this is no exception. A beer I would gladly drink buckets of, I only wish I saw more of this. tomer (3751) - Rishon Le Zion, ISRAEL - APR 25, 2015
At a tasting, thanks, light cloudy pale orange color, aroma of mandarine, orange peel, touch of white fruits amd spice, flavor of herbal tea, blossom and some fruitiness in the back, citrusy bitterness. Nice and easy. kerenmk (5169) - Tel Aviv, ISRAEL - APR 22, 2015
Bottle sample at a tasting at Dancing Camel Florentin. Thanks Ariel. Hazy blond. Soft hoppy fruitiness and then pine in the nose, green mild bitterness in the mouth. soft carbonation, light body, bitter finish.
