Hazy amber beer, little pale cream coloured head. Light semi dry palate. A little minerals. Smooth semi sweet floral Motueka takes the lead. Balanced nicely by mildly bitter citric orange in the mid and just a whisper of earthyness in the semi dry finish. Nice light floral IPA.

7 weeks on and the beer is now mildy hazy and palate is softer. Motueka still dominates with it’s floralness, the Citra bringing mellow orange and skunk. The Chinook a little lemon orange I suspect. Nice!
Bottle shared with Paul at The Kernel during Thomas’s special day, London. Pours cloudy, rich gold with a foamy, white head. Dry, grassy and piney hops in the nose. Medium sweet flavor with light and dry pine, toasty grass and orange citrus. Medium bodied with fine carbonation. Sticky, dry and lightly resinous finish with crisp grass, some dry yeast, light wood and pithy citrus. More restrained than some other Kernel IPAs. Excellent stuff. Bottle from Utobeer. It pours cloudy light orange, with a thick white head. The nose is citrus pith, hay, grass and earth. The taste is orange, tangy marmalade, hay, straw, grass, resin, citrus pith and earth, with a dry, citric finish. Medium body and moderate carbonation. Decent enough, but below average for Kernels typically high standards. Pinball (12060) - Copenhagen, DENMARK - NOV 30, 2012
