Flaske 0,33l fra Sourced Market, Euston. Delt med Rune under rateseanse i H9 27 Jun 12. Gyldenbrun med et høyt luftig skum. Klar - men sedimenter med under siste kvelling. Sterk & god sitrusaroma. Smaken er godt integrert. Avrundet. Sitrus & fruktig bitter ettersmak. Veldig bra. Har sikkert hatt godt av over ett års lagring.

Many thanks to Finn for sharing a 330ml bottle, this one containing 6.7% abv. Bubbly white head, blanketing the glass. Apricot coloured body with sediments. Burst of fresh citrus hops to the nose. Rounded flavour of orange peels alongside notes of lemon and juicy malts. Protracted finish of fresh fruity bitterness. Very nice and the best part of our tasting session at Finns, Tromsø 27.06.2012.

Bottle picked up at the brewery and shared with my dad. Consumed 30.12.11 Pours orange/amber with a large white head (frothy) Nice aroma, squidgy orange, in fact there is plenty of citrus and particularly orange showing. A7 A3 T8 P4 Ov15 3.7

Bottle. Bine sitting in my cupboard for a few months. My what a surprise. Pours deep orange and this one’s cloudy. Big foam head, which stays for 15 mins as I’m drinking. Nose is very pungent citrous. Grapefruit, lime and mango, with background caramel malt. Very fresh crisp taste with mango and then grapefruit on the finisih.

Bottle at home in London. Pours a rich, almost clear, gold with a strong, fluffy, off-white head. Oh, what a nose. Lots of tangy citrus, sharp grapefruit, fresh grass, dry pine. Flavor is medium sweet with a great, late-game bitter kick. Mild honey and caramel notes, good toast, some earth, pine and citrus rind. Medium bodied with fine, creamy carbonation. Light warmth on the finish, some oily and resinous hops, toasted malts, grass and pine, grapefruit, some toasted sugars, medium duration bitter linger. An overall fantastic beer.

Bottle from Sourced Market St Pancras my 2nd favourite place to get Kernel beers after the brewery as it does not seem to matter where I am going or what I am doing there is another Kernel beer ready for me at this shop. They even provide a plastic cup for the beer too. Drunk as first beer of Mes’ Stag weekend on a train from London Bridge to Gatwick Airport. Very hazy orange gold colour with lasting beige head. Orange tangerine hop assaults the olfactory senses as the Mount Hood aroma explodes out of the glass. Like the first time I ever had Oakham JHB. Some earthyness on aroma and in mouth. Could do with decanting to get rid of some of the fizz but I dont have a second glass sat on the train. 9.30 in the morning is the earliest I have had a drink in a long time. Good hops throughout and I love the tangerine aroma and flavour. So juicy with a touch of muddy earthyness too. Funnily enough it is another mood changing beer from Kernel. I had just finished an argument with my boss by text and this beer cheered me up no end. Another good solid beer from this great brewery.

Bottle from the brewery. Hazy amber with a slight and short lived white head, plus decent carbonation. Orange blossom and sweetish malt aroma, with a touch of green tea. Full, biscuit malt, dried apricot and citrus flavours, with a pleasant, dry finish. Less ’in your face’ than the citra IPA, but avoided the weird savoury edge. Excellent.

Very haz amber beer. Crisp palate that turns softer. Creamy malt base with just a little caramel. Citra fresh orange but doesn’t dominate thanks to the bittering grapefruit and orange marmalade of the other hops. As the beer warms up a tad there is a nice peach flavour coming through. Creamy semi dry finish with a long lingering bitter aftertaste. Nice medley of hop goodness.
