Hazy golden with a thick white head. Fruity, citrus, orange, floral hops. Taste is sweet with a really well balanced bitter finish. Smooth oily texture, low carbonation. Great beer, really refreshing.

Bottled 13th April 2014 at 6.9%. Two tone orange and light brown, just a slight haze, sparkling, no head really. Aroma - pithy citrus, basil, a touch of mint, slight sweet mango. Body - medium, pretty smooth, touch of carbonation. Taste - light citrus and mango, gooseberry, straw, light caramel malt in the background, softly bitter finish, just a touch of alcohol. Herbal, hoppy burbs. Very drinkable.

Keg at CASC. It pours clear golden-amber with a small white head. The nose is fresh, orange, tangerine, apricot and passion fruit. The taste is crisp, bitter, sherbet, grapefruit, orange peel, light alcohol, grass and tangerine with a dry, citric finish. Medium body and fine, prickly carbonation. Crisp and crushable. Tasty.

Bottle from Sourced Market, St. Pancras. Hazy, orangey amber. Film of sticky, white head. Overripe, verging on inedible, mandarin. Mint rock. Mineral. Grapefruit pith. Orange rind. Taste is mint rock sweet, before a mineral, flinty dryness. Then a bucket full of crunchy, zesty bitterness. Palate is chewy and greasy. Lots of earthiness, by way of contrast. Finish is that mineral thing, followed by a big, long, zesty, oily bitterness. Delicious.

Leighton (22297) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - JUN 15, 2014
Bottle at home in London - picked up at the Euston Tap. Pours clear gold, lightly effervescent, with a creamy, white cap. Wonderfully full and dank fruits in the nose, highlighted by orange, mango, papaya and tangerine. Medium sweet flavor with low bitterness, and just truckloads of citrus and tropical fruit-like hops, some watermelon, pineapple, in addition to plenty more orange, papaya, mango and the like. Medium bodied with fine carbonation; could use a bit more carbonation, actually. Moderately resinous and oily to finish, with more vibrant, ripe citrus and tropical fruit hops, slight bubblegum, tangerine, gooey orange juice, faint piney bitterness, honey, understated pale bread. Absolutely, outrageously good. The balance and depth here is awesome, with great intensity of flavour coming out of the hops. If the carbonation was a little bit higher this would be off the charts, but as it is it’s still world-class.

Bottle, bottle date 13/4-14. Light hazy orange with a medium sized white head. Hops are smelled at distance; pine, wood, light white cheese, light tropical fruits. Light bready malt. Medium body, oily texture, medium carbonation, medium sweet and bitter. Yup.

Very hazy gold beer, small pale cream coloured head. Palate is softish and airy with superfine carbonation. Light malt base, soft and slightly creamy sweet. Hops are a heady mix of rich fresh orange, well integrated floralness, passion fruit led tropical fruits and a touch of mango. Finishes light with a touch of hop spice. Easy drinking delicious beer and effortless Kernel quality.

Keg at the bat. Clear gold, tight white head. Hoppy nose, some resin. Taste is lovely balance of citrus and medium resinous hops. Not mental Kernel stuff so definitely thumbs up from me.

Bottle from The Beerhive. Hazy golden body with a white head that holds well. Low carbonation. Excellent lacing. Aroma of mandarin and lemon sherbet. Flavour of grapefruit, biscuit and a hint of mango. Medium body with a sticky mouthfeel. Soft fizz. Drinks like a session ale - very nice.

330ml bottle. Pours dark orange with a large head. Aroma is guava, mango and passionfruit. Taste is guava to start. Sweet and creamy with a mango finish.
