[5/11/16] Draught at Mikkeller & Friends in Copenhagen. Hazy golden. Great juicy tropical fruity hops aroma. Dry and bitter flavor with lots of fruity, citric and tropical hops, slightly oniony. Light to medium-bodied. Very nice, very clean.

Bottle shared by Maakun at his place. Nice one dude! Slightly murky pale golden with thin head. Sweet malts, marijuana hops, sweet resin, chicory like bitterness. Medium body, velvety smooth oily feel, low carbonation. Very hoppy, almost like chewing hop pallets. Not as fruity as some of the other Kernel IPA’s, I kinda miss the fruitiness.

Bottle shared at home. Murky dark golden with small off white head. Massive fruity juice, some lime, marijuana, dank cellar notes, orange, brown bread, caramel, overripe mango, cake, quite sugary. Medium sweet and a bit under medium bitter. Medium bodied with a bit creamy sugary feel. Very nice but not my favorite Kernel IPA.

Tap at craft beer co covent garden location Pours hazy orange hue with a small soapy white head and barely any lacing. Nose is quite nice lots of big citrus slightly passion fruit. Flavors do not match. Not enough boil hops. Seems a bit weak. Palate is fine and we’ll distrubusted. Overall I’m pretty disappointed in this one. Especially for 7£.

33cl bottle at home from thebeershop-online.com. Nose is tropical fruits, grass. Body is hazy orange, head is medium off-white, creamy, mostly lasting, good lacing. Aroma is grapefruit, grass, tropical fruits, honey, quinine. Light sweet, medium bitter. Finish is long lasting hoppy medium to heavy bitter. Medium body, soapy texture, soft carbonation. Very tasty, perfect balance of aroma, great one.

The clue is in the name -- this is a pretty by-the-book IPA brewed exclusively with Citra. The result is tons of orange juice fruit aroma and a soft, gentle hop bite. It’s really tasty and very good, although the single-hop bill made it just a little lacking in complexity.

UPDATED: MAY 3, 2016 BOTTLE 33 CL at 6,8%, courtesy of Maersk. Hazy dark amber, rich creamy head. Big tropical fruit aroma, peaches, balanced by fresh resins and dankness. The malts are subtle and stay far behind. The taste is neither dry nor sweet - you don’t get the malty taste not the maltose sugars, but it does not feel overly dry either. Rich and fresh hops, grapefruit zest and piney freshness. Pungent zesty bitter finish. Super-smooth and creamy mouthfeel. Pretty much flawless.

Draft @ Tilquin English Fest ’16, day2.

Tap @ moeder lambic. Pours cloudy yellow with a white head. Aroma of fresh hops. Jammy, sweet, caramel, very tropical, rest sugar, honeydew, grape, citrus. Taste is rather sweet, quite bitter. Works good, but a tad swwet.
