Hazy gold beer, good white head. Palate is semi dry and crisp. Mild minerals. Light thin malt. Bitter hops - pithy orange and grapefruit backed by the same fruits peel. Nice touch of floral sweetness brings balance. The back end is quite limey, lime peel that goes through the airy dry finish and well in to the linger. Goods stuff.
Bottle at home... Murky amber... Thin white head... Soft creamy fruity creamy malt nose... Little fizzy... Bitter... Orange zezty fruits... Dry passion fruit...

Bottle at home in London - picked up at the brewery. Pours mostly clear, yellow-gold with a lasting, frothy, pure white head. The aroma is just filled with juicy citrus character, lots of tangerine, grapefruit, pineapple, hay, pine needles. Medium sweet flavor with lightly dry pale malt sugars, plenty of citrus, some pithy grapefruit, tangerine, orange rind, melon, light alcohol, faint bitter grass. Medium bodied with fine, massaging carbonation. Lightly warming to finish with lots of juicy, somewhat sticky and resinous hops, pineapple, lemon zest, bitter grapefruit and orange rind, a bit of grass and pine. There’s a bitterness in the aftertaste that seems a bit more pronounced than in the typical Kernel IPA. Still, only a small qualm with what is otherwise a lovely beer. fiulijn (20516) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - OCT 7, 2013
Bottle from Birratrovo, Como; bottled 17.06.13, bb 17.10.13Theydon_Bois (19559) - Hazlemere, the lower Xhitlerns, Buckinghamshire, ENGLAND - JUL 14, 2013
Cloudy blond color with medium sized compact head. The hop aroma is still quite fruity, lightly sweaty. The mouthfeel is smooth (smoother than some Kernel Pale Ales tasted in parallel), with some minimal residual sugars, good malt, quite evident spicy yeast presence, strong bitterness, still enough hop resins, but fading hop fruitiness.
Promising beer, but already unfresh.
Bottle at home, cheers to Paul for grabbing this from the brewery for me, 14/07/13 Fruit Pastille Day!
Hazed golden orange with a thin white cap, a little lacing is going off above the water level.
Nose is earthy hops, mineral notes, mango, bitter orange, light pine.
Taste comprises juicy tropicals, light sugar, mango, tangerine, gravelly minerally notes, light pine biscuits.
Medium bodied, soft carbonation, well balanced hop bitterness in the finish.
Nice work as usual from the Kernel. rlgk (18850) - Göteborg, SWEDEN - AUG 23, 2013
Bottle from a trade with Theydon_Bois. Huge thanks! Hazy golden/apricot color with a rich lasting white head. Hoppy citrus aroma, floral notes, grapes, hay, pine apples, biscuits, earthy notes. Hoppy fruity flavor, candy, hay, quite bitter, biscuits, citrus, woody notes. A bit unbalanced to be Kernel. harrisoni (18581) - Ashford, Kent, ENGLAND - JUL 10, 2013
Bottle from Sourced Market, St Pancras. Hazy orange gold. Lasting off white head. Citrus and tropical fruit aroma. Soft and quite complicated in the flavour and mouth. Soft in mouth. Some decent bitterness on finish, really quite hoppy. A melange of fruit. Beautifullly soft mouthfeel. Lime, tangerine, orange, mango and something quite sharp. Pale grapefruit. Good beer. Not one of the top best ones, but still very interesting and quite intense. Big fruits. Interesting.
