Mr_Alex (2) - shottington, Bedfordshire, ENGLAND - SEP 21, 2013 does not count

330 bottle beer merchants. Lovely subtle mango aroma, doesn’t hit you in the face like some do. Slightly perfumed, the finish is medium dry, with just the occasional peach sweetness to counter. The hop combo makes this a wee bit different to the recent Kernel beers I’ve had. Great stuff.

Bottle at home in London - picked up at the brewery. Pours mostly clear, yellow-gold with a lasting, frothy, pure white head. The aroma is just filled with juicy citrus character, lots of tangerine, grapefruit, pineapple, hay, pine needles. Medium sweet flavor with lightly dry pale malt sugars, plenty of citrus, some pithy grapefruit, tangerine, orange rind, melon, light alcohol, faint bitter grass. Medium bodied with fine, massaging carbonation. Lightly warming to finish with lots of juicy, somewhat sticky and resinous hops, pineapple, lemon zest, bitter grapefruit and orange rind, a bit of grass and pine. There’s a bitterness in the aftertaste that seems a bit more pronounced than in the typical Kernel IPA. Still, only a small qualm with what is otherwise a lovely beer. UPDATED: JUL 31, 2013 Ah yes. Kernel IPAs are truly wonderful.Executed lovelily, dark amber pour, bitterly lipsmacking. I grew up on the Kings Heath side, the red triangle vibe. Dommod2011 (728) - Birmingham, West Midlands, ENGLAND - JUL 15, 2013
UPDATED: JUL 31, 2013 Very nice IPA from Kernel, good mix of hops, works well together, like a group.
Fresh new kicks and pants
You got it like that now you know you wanna dance
So move out of your seat
And get a fly girl and catch this beat
While it’s rollin’ hold on pump a little bit
And let me know it’s going on like that like that
Cold on a mission so pull on back

330ml bottle, bottled on 17/6 so 32 days old exactly. Lovely aroma, fruit salad in the nose, grapefruit, guava, kiwi, some caramel & biscuit malt flavours balancing with the hop and leaving a succulent, fruity, dry, bitter hoppy finish. Excellent hoppy IPA again from Kernel. Very tasty.
