Bottle at the brewery shared with Tommy Boy. Pours mostly clear dark gold white a bubbly white head. Jammy citrus in the nose, orange, tangerine. Medium sweet flavor with sugary pale malts, lots of jammy citrus, slight pine needles, alcohol, dry hay, tangerine, marmalade. Medium to full bodied with soft, almost flat carbonation. Fairly warming to finish with moderate hop oils, pine resin, pale malt sugars, mandarin orange, marmalade. Some gritty, dirty hay and pine in the aftertaste. Fairly tasty for the most part but lacking condition and, notably, that je ne sais quoi one expects from The Kernel. allmyvinyl (11025) - Edinburgh, SCOTLAND - DEC 19, 2013
When I glanced at the description, I read it first as "Cascade, chinook, citra, cucumbers"... Anyways... pours hazy orange-yellow, very thin white head. Aromas of fruit salad sweets and brie. Strange mix. Taste is fruity enough, and the caramel sweetness does well against the hops. Warming alcohol at the end. Pretty much flat, carbonation-wise. Just dunno about this one. Normally a solid brewery, this one seems a bit of a misstep. It’s not awful, by any means, I just expect Kernel to bang out flawless beers as a matter of course... No one’s perfect, I guess. Bottle. Golden with white head. Aroma or pine, resin, cheesey, papapya. Taste of pine, resin, guava, papaya, melon. Oily, low carb amd bitter finish. It’s alright, alcohol well masked but could do with some kind of citrus kick in there. Ktwse (5458) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - DEC 19, 2013
Pours murky pale amber with zero head. Aroma is fruity, floral, light caramel. Taste is floral, light bitter with caramel sweetness. Body is fairly light with soft carbonation.

330mL thanks to Leighton! Pours chill haze deeper golden, no foam unfortunately. Seems like it didn’t recarbonate in the bottle...just white bubbles :/ Nose is vanilla cake, apple, some pretty fresh citrus zest and peel. Taste is actually pretty nice- big vanilla, sharp citrus peel. Dense finish with some nut oiliness. Overall, pretty good. Wish it had carbonation. Bottleat home - shared with Mette. Cloudy golden/grey - white head. Sweetness, light cheese, fruity, hashish, grainy, peachy notes, ligh grape fruits, some pine. Too uch - unbalanced. Low carbonated - almost flat. Niall73 (2434) - Ontario, CANADA - DEC 17, 2013
Bottle from Market Row Wines, Brixton. Bottled 31/10/14. Poured a very lifeless hazy brown. Aroma is rich, sweet with toffee and caramel. Medium body, sticky, a hint of carbonation, though almost flat (dodgy bottle?) . Some rye bread, caramel, booze, orange, grapefruit. OK - not sure if the lack of life was down to a random dodgy bottle or not. Anyway, still pretty tasty.

Bottled. A hazy golden beer with a beige head. The aroma has notes of citrusy hops, spices, and malt. The flavor sweet with notes of citrusy hops, caramel, spices, and and malt, leading to a bitter finish.
