On tab @beerCab , a clear yellow beer with medium head. Nose is on grapefruit and green vegetable. Aroma is on vegetable, still grapefruit, medium bitterness, less complex, in the green herb and grapefruit dimension.

Bottle from The Beerhive. Hazy golden body with a thick white head. Steady carbonation. Faint lacing. Aroma of apricot, chocolate limes and kiwi fruit. Flavour of nuts and grass. Thin to medium body with a slick mouthfeel. Soft fizz. Good but I expected something with a bit more oomph.

Hazy orange- gold beer, small pale cream colour head. Palate is smooth, mildly dry and has decent fine minerally carbonation. Smooth malts bring a nice light creamy sweetness. A fair dose (by Kernel standards) of spicy bitterness in the mid. Smooth pine. A little lime peel into tropical fruits. Smooth finish leaves a piney linger. A little more edge to this Kernel IPA but that's not a bad thing. 3.9

This has a lost a little of it's spicy bitterness but that has allowed the HBC431 hops to open up more and show their underlying characteristics. Tropical fruits with lesser candy fruits and even a little orchard fruits. Nice cooling pine, still a little spice on the finish. Lovely stuff and for me goes to show that not all IPAs have to be drunk 10 minutes after they are bottled!

Bottle at home, 30/09/17. Hazed golden orange with a decent off white covering. Nose is melon, papaya, light floral notes, straw, soft brioche, orange pith. Taste comprises tangerine, light pine, toasted bread, cantaloupe melon, hint of grapefruit. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, drying close peppered with juicy hop bitterness. Decent well balanced IPA.

Scopey (15747) - Croydon, Greater London, ENGLAND - SEP 28, 2017
Bottle picked up at The Brewery. It pours hazy deep orange - amber with a medium off-white head. The aroma is fresh, vibrant grapefruit character, tangy orange marmalade, berry and cake/muffin. The taste is crisp, dry, Good hit of bitterness upfront, resinous, peachy, oily, orange marmalade, grapefruit burp, resin, pine, earth, bit of spice and damp grass with a drying finish. Medium body and moderate carbonation. Pretty robust and flavoursome. Good stuff.
