Theydon_Bois (20628) - Hazlemere, the lower Xhitlerns, Buckinghamshire, ENGLAND - FEB 18, 2017
Bottle at home, 21/01/17. Hazed golden amber with a well appointed off white head. Nose is bubblegum, apricot, light pine, tangerine, melon, orange squash. Taste comprises orange pith, cantaloupe melon, light pine slither, soft bread, citric tinged straw, light grapefruit. Medium bodied, soft massaging carbonation, juicy hop splash in the close. Decent enough IPA but not from Mother Arch’s top draw.

Scopey (15704) - Croydon, Greater London, ENGLAND - JAN 20, 2017
Bottle picked up at Sourced Market, Victoria. It pours hazy orange with a medium white head. The aroma is soft, sweet, juicy, mango, sticky peach, apricot, touch of dank grassy action and brioche. The taste is crisp, bitter, pretty juicy, mango, peach, papaya, pine, dank, weed, light spring onion, some spice and a touch of alcohol with a dry finish. Medium body and moderate carbonation. Pretty tasty gear.

jamestulloch (4328) - Edinburgh, SCOTLAND - JAN 10, 2017
Bottle from Salt Horse. Hazy amber body with a thin white head that quickly fades. Steady carbonation. Faint lacing. Aroma of biscuit, earth and Lager. Flavour of steel, sorrel and grapefruit pith. Thin to medium body with a watery, slightly oily texture. Soft fizz. Not up the The Kernel’s usual IPA standard.

tiong (7620) - Espoo, FINLAND - DEC 21, 2016
330ml bottle from Ales by Mail. Bottled 17.10.16. Pours clear orange with a smooth white head. Aroma of tropical fruits, herbal hops, grass and pine. Taste is crisp, herbal hoppy and tropical fruity with some grass, pine, citrus and caramely malts. Finish is sweetish, malty and crisp with some herbal hops, grass, pine, resin and hints of tropical fruits. Okay.

Bottle. Tall Boys, Leeds. Hazy gold. Lovely Kernel swede. Nose has ripe grapefruit and pulpy orange. Dry grain malt. Doesn’t pop out of the glass, particularly. Tastes really good, though. Lovely balance of grain and hop. Smooth, juicy mouthfeel. Fruity, zesty bitter finish.

MrTipple (6457) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - DEC 17, 2016
Light bitter tropical fruits, mango, pale grain malts, wet straw. Hazy, pale gold, medium, frothy, white head. Light bitter. More, lightly bitter tropical fruits, unripe mango, initially bitter citrus fruits turning quite juicy, soft carbonation, medium bodied, bitter finish. Decent IPA, yet not quite living up to the previous glory of the Kernel IPAs. Bottle from Hop Locker, Waterloo.

6th December 2016
Hazy gold beer, tidy cream colour head. Palate is smooth with nibbly fine carbonation. Smooth malts bring mild creamy sweetness. Smooth mellow piney hop intro. Mosaic blueberry and ripe tropical fruits. Modest hop spice. Underneath a light citric peel bitterness. Smooth fruity finish. Smooth, complex and drinkable.
