Bottle from Cornelius. Pours hazy orange. Nose is juicy, passionfruit, tropical fruits, peppery spices. Taste is juicy passionfruit, citrus hops, grass. Solid IPA. McNeillR (2315) - Edinburgh, SCOTLAND - DEC 21, 2015
Murky dull golden, decent head that’s still Sifting around. Nose is big squeaky passionfruit, fleshy blueberry and a dried on peach yogurt buzz. Ridic on fleek. Initial taste is a haunting pepperyness, creamy and grapey at the same time. Carbonation is fairly soft and a grinding but swift mouthfeel. Finishes strongly blueberry yogurt buzz, bootload of dryness and a soft sweet peppery linger. Not quite smash smashy but solid IPA lotion. Bottle, Beer Ritz Leeds. 7% BBF 12.03.16 MrTipple (4955) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - DEC 20, 2015
Aroma: light tropical fruits, mango, light passion fruits, some wine, grapes, grapefruit, light citrus. Appearance: hazy, pale gold, small, creamy, white head. Taste: light sweet. Palate: sweets continue, juicy exotic fruits again, mango and passion fruit, bitters coming up, intensifying, biter and dry finish. Overall: very nice IPA, maybe not the Kernel’s best, but very solid, great aroma and palate. Bottle from the brewery, Bermondsey. fiulijn (20491) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - DEC 20, 2015
Bottle from Birratrovo, Como, Bottled 12.11.15, bb 12.03.15, 1 month old
Cloudy dark blond color, a bit dull, with medium head. The aroma is pungent, typical Nelson Sauvin. The mouthfeel is not as dry as it could be; not the best malt backdrop, and it has a bit too much yeast character; but the hop is well present, with bitterness and quality.
Compared to the best American IPAs, not clean enough; I would choose a different yeast, less spicy, but at least the hops have been worked on nicely.
Very good beer.
