Clear medium to dark orange amber colour with a large large, frothy to creamy, good lacing, fully lasting, off-white to light beige head. Aroma is moderate malty, caramel, moderate to heavy hoppy, orange - citrus, dark fruit, wood notes. Flavour is moderate to heavy sweet and bitter with a long duration, sharp, hoppy, dark fuit, grapefruit. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft.
Bottled (thanks Evin!). Amber/pale copper colour, mediumsized slightly off-white head. Aroma is fruity, floral, some quite bitter wooden notes. Flavour is fruity, floral, some caramelly and some sweet malty notes. Quite balanced and nice, but alternative for being a Kernel one. Served fom a 330ml bottle into a tulip style glass (drank Apr ’12) this beer poured a ’slightly’ cloudy dark amber/brown with tints of red with a thick off-white head.

A hoppy/fruity aroma greets the nose allied to a little pine and a pinch of malt.
The taste matches the nose, throw in some citrus flavours, notably sweet orange/mandarin and a good dose of pine and you arrive at a most enjoyable IPA.
Mouthfeel was good, medium to low carbonation and a bitter - dry but slightly sweet finish.
Overall - another good quality IPA form Kernel.
Bottle from the Kernel. Cloudy reddish brown colour with thick white head. Strong citric hop aroma. Quite high carbonation gives a foamy mouthfeel. I like this amber/red IPA style, the malts used give a nice background to the typical Kernel hop character with a long biting hop finish. Cracking stuff! Palme (4832) - Bergen, NORWAY - JUL 13, 2012
0.33l bottle from beermerchants.com This is a deep cloudy - almost murky - amber-brown colored beer with a massive, lacing and lasting fluffy beige head. It’s fantastic fruity and hoppy on the nose, also quite candy-like sweetness here. Citrus grapefruit and sweet malts. It’s average carbonated, medium-bodied. Dry flavors - like in mouthdrying, good fruity bitterness all the way. Almost on the wedge of being stingy. Leaving a long lasting dry tongue. Yet another tasty one from the Kernel. 27.05.2012 KnutAlbert (6797) - Oslo, NORWAY - MAY 4, 2012
Hazy red, fluffy head. gunnar (9774) - Sandnes, NORWAY - APR 6, 2012
Fine IPA - pines, pepper, fruit, dryness. But it does not stand out compared to some of their other IPAs.
Bottle from Beermerchants.com. Pours deep golden/amber with a huge frothy off-white head. Strong piney hop aroma, sweet orange and marmelade as well. Taste is moderate sweet, thick and sticky, a good body supporting the overall bitter beer, with loads of piney and resiny hops, dry juicy grapefruit. BeerCast_Rich (1906) - Edinburgh, SCOTLAND - APR 1, 2012
Lingering light sweet and dry bitter, very good and intense.
[330ml bottle, The Bottle Shop, Canterbury] Gusher, erupted everywhere on opening. Red, opaque result with no head - although with huge carbonation. Classic fruity Kernel aroma - pine and lemon, some sweet caramel. The taste wasn’t as good due to the turbulent opening - essentially we were left with a yeasty Kernel shot. Still decent though - what could have been
