Bottle. Hazy golden with a white foam. Aromas are mango, pineapple and grapefruit with earthy, ripe apple and low pine. White grape juice with spiced oranges and bteady yeast. Bsse biscuit and caramel malts. Flavours are juicy tropical fruit with bitter lemon and grapefruit. Herbal with spritzy yeast and hints of mint. Woody and dry with warming, peppery alcohol. Washes over the tongue. Excellent. johninmelb (1127) - Bristol, Gloucestershire, ENGLAND - JUL 13, 2013
Mmm. Tasty, lemonadey nose. Flavour follows. Can’t be bothered with too analytical a rating but basically this is one of the worlds best brewers doing one of the great styles with three of the best hops, and it measures up. Rocking. EdKing (2640) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - JUL 12, 2013
UPDATED: DEC 29, 2013 Bottle in Craft Brixton. Colour is cloudy orange, nice bubbley white head. Nose is citrous sweet, orange and grapefruit, caramel, mango tropical fruit, white sugar. Appearance: Dense, murky amber body with a medium white head that holds well. Excellent lacing.
Taste: Punchy hop flavour - mango, grapefruit and lime.
Palate: Medium body with an oily texture. Soft carbonation.
Overall: Less aggressively bitter than other Kernel IPAs I’ve tried, but no less flavoursome. Sublime.
Bottle in the garden, 5th July 2013. A lovely IPA, very balanced. Poured cloudy, aroma is very hop pleasant, taste is a hop sensation, fresh, tropical fruit, not too bitter, not too sweet. Lovely beer madmitch76 (25344) - , Essex, ENGLAND - JUL 5, 2013

Very hazy gold - amber beer, little white head. Light palate, crispy and slightly dry. Creamy malt base, mild minerals. Stunning hops - lovely Nelson Sauvin like grape and gooseberry with a gang of tropical fruits backing them up - peach being most readily identifiable. Finishes light and crispy with medium bitterness. A belter!
Bottle from brewery drunk at home. You drink a Kernel beer and you realise what hops were made for. Seriously just amazing. You almost take them for granted then you have one of these and your palate just jumps about and you go, yep, that’s just beautiful. Aroma is so intense and so tropical fruit flavour laden it’s stunning. Simcoe comes through so beautiful a hop. The soft citrus of the Amarillo, the aroma of the Nelson. Simcoe bitterness on the finish. I mean so fresh super fresh. The hops my god the hops. Not stupid overpowering, just fresh and super aromatic and tasty. Get out of here. This beer goes yard, out of the ballpark. Beautiful. Kernel have produced some stunning IPAs, this is up in the top echelon. Drunk in the space of 3 short songs, it was that good. Utterly sublime. Bottle at home in London - procured from the brewery a few days ago. Pours ever so slightly hazy gold with a strong, frothy off-white head. The aroma screams with juicy, ripening citrus, some mineral dryness, a bit of day-old cat urine. Medium sweet flavor with oodles of juicy citrus, touches of tropical fruits, more pee, enough bready malt base to hold it all together. Medium bodied with fine carbonation. Sweet and resinous to finish, dripping orange and papaya, softened pine needles, some further pee, hints of lime, tangerine. Delicious. Kernel on form.
