3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
6.7% keg from Crown & Anchor in Brixton. As with other recent Kernels this is a slightly lower ABV than previous versions. Overall the usual great aroma and colour but the mouthfeel and flavour not as satisfying as before.

Clear orange beer, creamy irregular off-white head, little stable, bit adhesive. Aroma: bit weird, off, funky, bit fruity, peaches, citrus, peaches, citrus, grapefruit, grapes. MF: ok carbon, medium to full body. Taste: bit sourish, citrus, fruity, peaches, lychee, lemony. Aftertaste: bit piny, bitterness, funky touch, bit malty, sweet touch.
Bottle. Unclear orange with a medium sized off white head. White cheese, caramelized onion, bark, sugary malt, light sweet tropical fruits, black berries. Medium body, medium sweet with a fine bitter finish. This Kernel stuff is getting sameish and whateverish on me. melush (4414) - SPAIN - JAN 22, 2015

A hazy golden coloured beer with a frothy white head. As expected with such a hop bill, the aroma is a proper fruit salad on the senses! All manner of citrus fruit, lime, orange and grapefruit are prominent, then banana, mango and peach, plus there is a hint of grassiness too. Dry mouthfeel. The taste follows on from the aroma, all the fruit flavours are present, along with a mild clove spice and cough candy-like flavour, this ushers in a smoother, slight sweeter flavour that tames the rampant hops into a considerably well-balanced finish. Tasted at Moeder Lambic "Fontainas" Brussels.

Hazy yellow with a thin white head. Big bursts of grapefruit followed by a rush of citrus into a pineapple finish. Lovely stuff. Not as heavy / sticky as the other Kernel IPAs and doesn't seem too strong though weighs in at 7%.

Thx! 330 ml. bottle sampled @ “Nog-een-half-jaar-tot-de-volgende-EBT”. Golden, little white head. Nose is citrus, dough, tad sugar, peel; Taste is sweet citrus, sugar, dough, peel, flowers. Med. Body. Oddly sweet a bit, I rather enjoyed it. JorisPPattyn (10062) - BELGIUM - JAN 4, 2015
Small, very white head over clear golden beer. Cakey nose, sweet herbs with some flowery, blossomy hops. Faint citrus. Bitterish-fruity. Faintly resiny and flowery. Spritzy, oily slickness, medium bodied. Bit disappointing, seen the hops used, the taste would have to display some more fireworks. ruigo (3088) - PORTUGAL - DEC 29, 2014
33cl bottle. Slightly hazy pale yellow colour with a nice white head. Grapefruit, mango and citrus in the aroma. Average carbonation and medium to light body. Taste is well balanced with some pine notes and a long and dry finish. Overall, a very good beer.
