Hazy amber beer, tidy off white head. Dry palate. Creamy malt forms a thin base for pithy tangerine and grapefruit. A little lemon and a trace of tropical fruits. Pithy citrus bitter finish. An intriguing IPA, quite complex and pretty bitter!
Bottle at Nate’s Birthday at The Kernel, London. Pours cloudy orange with a foamy, white head. Big and juicy citrus nose. Medium sweet flavor with some lightly toasted malts, dry bread, dry and pithy citrus, lightly zesty citrus. Medium bodied with fine to average carbonation. Dry finish with orange citrus bitterness and dry malts. Very good. harrisoni (19408) - Ashford, Kent, ENGLAND - JAN 13, 2012
Bottle from The Bottle Shop, Canterbury. Thanks Andrew for getting these beers. Hazy gold orange colour with lasting off white head. Shed loads of hops on the aroma. Lots of tropical fruits. Like sticking your nose in a bowl of fresh tropical fruits. Lovely mouthfeel. Wow that is stunning. Wow that is just such a step up from anything I’ve had this evening. hops on finish are stunning too. Long peppery hop finish. Some earthyness towards the finish. But this is amazing. What a blend of hops. So smooth. No harshness at all even with all those big hops. I love it. The Kernel is just an amazing brewery. Scopey (15877) - Croydon, Greater London, ENGLAND - NOV 8, 2011
Bottle at the Kernel. It pours hazy orange-amber, with a fluffy white head. The nose is orange sherbet, mango, apricot and orange squash. The taste is orange citrus fruits, pith, leather, earth, resin, spice and brown bread, with a big bitter-dry finish. Medium body, average carbonation and foamy mouth-feel. Good stuff. Bottle from the brewery, Bermondsey, London December 2011 consumed at home with my dad 21.12.11 Pours hazy orange amber in fact I made rather a mess of the pouring, its looking muddier by the minute (my fault) Little lemony at first but then a blast of tropical fruits and nice bittersweet flurry of citrus. Good bitterness, thrusty and furry, lovely. A7 A2 T8 P4 Ov15 3.6
