Bottle at home in London. Pours a cloudy, orange-gold with a small, white head. Very fresh grass aroma, some pine, grapefruit rind. Medium sweet flavor with a dirty, earthy bitterness. There is also some citrus rind and light toast. Full bodied with fine to average carbonation and an oily texture. Warm finish, oily and somewhat sticky, some dirt, sugary malts, faint urine. A solid IPA overall. DanielBrown (4563) - Birmingham (via Leicester), West Midlands, ENGLAND - JAN 14, 2012
Bottle from Stirchley Wines, Birmingham. Thick, opaque yellow. Great scent - rich and floral. Juicy, thick mouthfeel. Buttery hops. Mango tropical taste. Bitterness to finish. Very good. sebletitje (10475) - Enghien, BELGIUM - DEC 27, 2011
33cl bottle from DeMolen biershop. BB 22-07-2013, opened xmas day, another ridiculously good beer, these guys at Kernel rock!

Bottle at home, 21st January 2012. Aroma is biscuit grapefruit, pours slightly murky with a small head. Taste is full on, more sweet than many of the other Kernel IPAs with a thicker mouth feel, not so typically kernel. Like this one though, taste is getting more to my idea of a DIPA. In bottle. Pours a golden colour with a thin white head. Aroma of pine, some vegetal notes, pineapple and grass. Beautiful chewy mouth-feel with pine, pineapple and vegetal flavours again. Moderate carbonation and bitterness. Alcohol is well masked. Lovely.

Hazy orange amber beer, little white head. Crispish palate, a little dry. A little lacto creamy malt. Mild minerals. Hops are subtly flavoured. Mild peachy orange with a whisper of lemon. Finishes dry. OVerall a sweetish IPA with nicely balanced subtle fruits. Very drinkable.
Bottle from The Kernel. Colour is ’Kernel IPA orange’. More clarity than normal though. White head. Nose is sharp, minerally, citrous fruit. Grapefruit dominant, with lime and lemon. Pine. It’s crisp and sharp as is the taste, with nice fresh grapefruit, lime and minerally. Very zingy but lacking the tropical fruit and complexity of some of the others. Still very good. Finish is bitter grapefruit and leafy hops. tkrjukoff (4334) - SWEDEN - OCT 30, 2011
Bottle 33 cl, The Kernel Brewery. Pours cloudy deep amber with a small off white head leaving some lacing. Aroma is piny, acidy, citric, hoppy, fruity and sweetish. Flavor is bitter, caramel, grapefruits, piny, dry, malty and acidy. Finishes bitter piny and acidy. bierkoning (13806) - La Tropica/Doarp, NETHERLANDS - NOV 9, 2011
Bottle. Pale amber color. Melon, lime and some oily hops in the aroma. Firm hopbitter, but also very fruity flavor. Peach, lime, pineapple. Delicious. pivnizub (10904) - Bochum, GERMANY - JAN 13, 2013
Bottle: Golden, cloudy, small off-white persistent layer, not too dry fruity-hoppy nose ( exotic & piney nose,no grapefruits! ), even some malty influences detectable; moderate bitter-sweet flavour, quite dry and medium bodied; solid dry hoppy finish (exotic fruits, what else) with malt and yeast underneath. Very good beer, but the question remains, if it is really necessary to brew of every existing hop-clone a beer of its own right…
