Bottle from Mr Lawrence, Brockley, shared with Slothez on Thanksgiving. Murky orange pour with a slightly reluctant off white head. Enticing nose packed with juicy fruit and resinous hops. Flavour didn’t quite hit the heights but some tasty orange and grapefruit notes tussled for position with the amarillos. Lengthy dry bitter finish. Maybe not my favourite offering from the Kernel, but by they set such a very high standard, so that’s not necessarily a criticism. Leighton (22026) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - DEC 10, 2011
Bottle at home in London with Lyoli. Pours cloudy gold with a foamy, white head. Has a beautiful, floral hop aroma with some orange and pineapple. Light to medium sweet with grass, toasty and dry malts, pine, mango. Medium bodied with fine carbonation. Dry, lightly sticky finish, some straw, grass, citrus rind. Very nice stuff. omhper (25543) - Tyresö, SWEDEN - DEC 9, 2011
Bottled at the brewpub. Hazy deep golden, rich creamy head. Aroma of tropical fruits and grapefruit. Dry with medium body. Very grapefruity with long resiny bitterness. harrisoni (19164) - Ashford, Kent, ENGLAND - DEC 8, 2011
Bottle from the Bottle Shop Canterbury. Amarillo is a lovely aroma hop. So lots of aroma. No huge bitterness on finish. I mean its fun but after the first 3/4 of the beer it becomes a bit thin and astringent. Yes lots of Amarillo but maybe thats why some hops work well in tandem. Drunk with roast chicken and stuffing with potato wedges and veggies. Love the aroma nit sure about the swalliw and finish. Nothing wrong with the beer its just tough to do a single hop amarillo beer i think. suprchunk (2994) - Crestview, Florida, USA - DEC 6, 2011
Hazy coppery colored pour. Big, foamy, off-white head. Plenty of lacing. Big hop aroma. Malt nose as well. Hoppy, hoppy taste. A little bit of malts underneath. But mainly hops. Smooth and sweet finish, with a bit of dryness. Very good APA.

Bottle at the Kernel Brewery, Bermondsey, London, 03.12.11 Pours glowing gold/orange with quickly departing white head. Soft in the mouth, buzzy, tangy flavours and hoppiness tangle for attention in the mouth. Grapefruit shows, good bitterness throughout, quit crisp in mouth at times. Nice stuff! Bottle at Blacks. Pale amber with a tinge of orange. Nose is tropical fruit, mango, tangerine, bit musky. Taste is mango, orange marmalade, tropical, bitter citric, pine. Quite hard bitter finish. Scopey (15431) - Croydon, Greater London, ENGLAND - NOV 30, 2011
Both from bottle and cask at the Kernel Brewery. It pours cloudy orange, with a thick fluffy off-white head. The nose is tangerine, tangy orange, mango, fresh pine and resin. The taste is tangerine, orange pith, zesty, oily hop, pine, earth, marmalade and resin, with a massive bitter finish. Medium body, moderate carbonation and oily mouth-feel. A big, bold flavoursome APA. madmitch76 (25321) - , Essex, ENGLAND - NOV 20, 2011

Very hazy orange - amber beer, tidy white head. Light crisp palate, dry. Small amount of creamy malt supports bags and bags of Amarillo. Fresh orange, spicy orange, piney orange! More fresh orange towards the finish with grapefruit bitterness ramping up. Dry finish. Full on Pale Ale - great hops. A tad dry was the only distraction.
