Draught @ The Rover. Pours hazy golden with a bubbly and frothy offwhite head that slowly dissipates while leaving som sticky soapy trace on the glass. Smell is tiny fruity and herbal with crackers, grapefruit juice, freshly cut grass, moist soil, lemon zest, pine needles and hints of frozen peas. Taste is tiny sweet, bitter, tiny fruity ad herbal with crackers, biscuits, grapefruit juice, lemon balm, orange peal, freshly cut grass, pine needles and lemon zest. Mouthfeel is crisp, dry, astringent, slightly round and light to medium bodied. finish is bitter with biscuits, freshly cut grass, pine needles, grapefruit rinds and lemon zest. jamestulloch (4417) - Edinburgh, SCOTLAND - JAN 2, 2014
Bottle from Vino Wines. Murky amber body with a medium white head. Lively carbonation. Thick lacing marks. Muted aroma of orange and grapefruit. Soft citrus flavour. Medium body with an oily mouthfeel. Almost flat carbonation. Very drinkable but the flavour is a bit dull and non-descript. This version was 5.6% ABV.

olsvammel (7312) - Örebro, SWEDEN - DEC 25, 2013
Bottle at Örebro Ölcafé. Fresh and hoppy smell with fruits, citrus, pineapple, peach and passionfruit. Similar taste, mellow bitterness. Very nice and easy to drink.

brokensail (16689) - Dublin, California, USA - DEC 24, 2013
Bottle @ The Bruery, shared by Leighton. Clear golden pour with a white head. Aroma is kind of funky. Weird feet/sock character. Grapefruit, pine, and soap. Grain, biscuit, and a hint of tropical fruit. Flavor is bitter up front with a lot of pine, grass, and soap. Some sweet biscuit and bread. Grapefruit, light tropical fruit, and flowers.

Niall73 (2459) - Ontario, CANADA - DEC 21, 2013
Bottled on 06/11/13. Pours a hay orange/brown with a white head. Aroma is tangerine and light tropical fruit. Light body, a little thin, medium carbonation. a little ginger, orange, rye, mildly herby, light caramel. It’s OK, a little thin, not on a par with the majority of other kernel beers I’ve had. Plenty drinkable though.

SlackerMads (3583) - DENMARK - DEC 17, 2013
Bottle, bottle date 2013-11-05. Close to clear copper with a small off white head. Lots of pine, white bread, bark, earthy, tangerine, light grapefruit. Medium body, little sweetness, dry finish with long lasting bitterness. I always enjoy The Kernel pale ales, but this one is more bitter and dry than I prefer.

GT (10017) - San Diego, California, USA - DEC 17, 2013
500mL thanks to Leighton! Clear straw pour, okay foam. Nose is apple, some oxidized notes. Taste is very soapy, papery, feels oxidized. An unfortunate flop :(

Scopey (16227) - Croydon, Greater London, ENGLAND - DEC 14, 2013
Bottle at Kernel. It pours pale golden amber with a thick white head. The nose is pine, toast, earth, sherbet, orange, tangerine and mango. The taste is crisp, piney, orange, tangerine, light toast, hay and sherbet with a dry, bitter finish. Medium body and moderate carbonation. Tasty, balanced and massivly drinkable. Yum.
