[ As The Kernel Pale Ale Amarillo Zeus Simcoe ].
ABV: 5.3%. Hazy - murky grey - matt medium yellow - amber orange color with a small to average, frothy, good to fair lacing, mostly lasting to diminishing, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, caramel, pale malt, moderate to heavy hoppy, pine, citrus, grapefruit, mango. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet and bitter with a long duration, fruity hops, citrus, tropical fruit. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft.
Bottle from Coppers, Newcastle. Hazy amber coloured with sharp citrus, tropical fruit and orange marmalade flavours followed by a slight toffee, biscuit and pine finish. Bottle Conditioned. Superb! graham_murphy (701) - - OCT 23, 2014
Pale ales and IPAs from the kernel never disappoint. This is fresh with sweet orange citrus and some floral notes. Quite strong for a pale ale in terms of ABV but it’s subtle enough not to be an IPA. Keep it coming. RichardW (1813) - Carlisle, Cumbria, ENGLAND - OCT 8, 2014
Bottled from Coppers, Newcastle. Creamy peachy aroma, big zesty and sherberty orange flavour, which lingers a long time on the tongue. Fairly dry, with a red berry finish, late on. Another fine Kernel beer, didn’t expect anything else really!

Where: Cock Tavern, London.
Appearance: Hazy pale golden colour with a white head.
Aroma: Citrus, fruit, hops, pine.
Body: Light body, medium carbonation.
Flavour: Citrus, lemon, a bit bitter, floral, pine.
Pale golden, faint film but decent tight white ringed head. Dried out pineapple and lemon, raking clementine nose. Initial taste is crisply sweet, soft cereal and faintest pine. Nice zing of citrus matching the carbonation, with a sweet breadiness parked in front. Bitterness is consistent, resulting in a nice dried out hop sweetness on the finish. Clean fading melon and orange linger. Yum Yum. jamestulloch (4367) - Edinburgh, SCOTLAND - SEP 5, 2014
Bottle, Cornelius, Edinburgh
Bottle from Cornelius. Hazy golden body with a white head. Good lacing. Aroma of strawberry jam, juicy orange and lemon sweets. Flavour of pine, grass, sharp lemon and lime, crisp green apple and minerals. Medium body with a creamy mouthfeel. Light fizz. Decent, although I find the chalky Amarillo seems to dry out the other hop flavours a bit. anders37 (27237) - Malmö, SWEDEN - SEP 1, 2014
