[ As The Kernel Pale Ale Cascade Pacifica Simcoe ].
Clear medium orange yellow color with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, caramel, pale malt, light heavy hoppy, citrus, grass, fruity hops, orange - citrus. Flavour is moderate to heavy sweet and bitter with a long duration, tropical fruit, pineapple, dusty hops. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft.
Bottle - hazy gold with slim white head. Citrus hops with orange, pine and sweet malt. Same in the taste, nice bitterness, with a late bitter finish. Medium body, soft carbonation, dry and drinkable. Very good. flying_pig (1555) - SCOTLAND - FEB 9, 2014
500ml Bottle from Good Spirits Co, Glasgow:DruncanVeasey (8225) - NUNEATON, Warwickshire, ENGLAND - FEB 6, 2014
Light hops and some citrus notes start this one off on the nose, followed by some pineapple and various tropical fruits with some mango and apricot featuring alongside a hint of orange as well.
Bright gold topped with a half centimetre tall, foamy white head that fades to a fine, unbroken lacing on the surface.
Pineapple and orange, this one is quite juicy and features some orange alongside the lighter hops and some fresh, grassy flavours. There is some biscuit around the middle and a few more grassy hops too.
Smooth with touches of bitterness but not as much as I had expected, the body is a light medium one and there is a hit of fizz throughout with moderate carbonation being the order of the day. It is dry towards the finish but still proved to be a very easy beer to drink.
Somewhat enjoyable and a nice, pleasant beer but nowhere near as good as some of the other pale ale’s I’ve tried from the brewery.
500ml from Beer Gonzo. Snow-topped brilliant gold, less the bits. Disappointing farmyard, brass, toasted sesame seed bun, lean grassy snout with suspicions of pig shit and flowers. Better flavour with unusually muted grass, herb, green sappy hop and mildly pissy fur character. Could almost pass for a Sperrin’s Boro Best shandy. Classic cask-like Kernel body and base husk. Zero alcohol. A grower, but possibly the least appealing Kernel sampled to date. spacecube (1705) - Leeds, West Yorkshire, ENGLAND - FEB 2, 2014
500ml bottle, dry hoppy aroma, nothing too pungent, orange, grapefruit with a dry bitter finish. Good stuff as usual but not really singing.

Aroma: mild hops, grapefruit, some malts. Appearance: slightly hazy pale gold, small white head. Taste: light bitter, more dominant sweet. Palate: light bitterness coming up, light to medium carbonation. Overall: nice APA, not too overpowering in both palate and aroma. Bottle from Drinker’s Paradise, London. maneliquor (3514) - Perth, AUSTRALIA - JAN 21, 2014
Bottle from the brewery. Pours vibrant orange with a small white cap in typical Kernel fashion. Nose is loaded with orange and sweet tropical fruit - lychee, passionfruit, tangerine. A touch floral as well. Taste is sweet citric and tropical fruits with heavier than expected flowery hops. Loads of orange in this and very juicy. A bit too sweet and not enough bitterness for me. Probably not the best combo but either way a solid drop as always from these guys gunnar (9019) - Sandnes, NORWAY - JAN 20, 2014
Bottle from the brewery. Bottled 18.11.13. Pours hazy golden with a big, nice looking white head. Strong hoppy aroma, pineapple, mango and grapefruit. Smooth, creamy mouthfeel, average carbonation.Taste is light sweet fruity and creamy malts, tropical fruit mixture, crisp hops, grapefruit and pine. Light dry and bitter finish, but overall on the sweet side

500ml bottle from Good Spirits Co. Pale yellow amber, not much head. Biscuit grain citrus fruit aroma. Dry resin hop flavour, Orange grapefruit aftertaste. Not one of Kernels better APAs. ElectroMod (127) - - JAN 15, 2014
Bottle from Y Delyn Wine Bar, Mold. Pours a clear light yellow colour with a medium white head. Aroma is yeasty, citrus, pineapple and hops. Dry hopped taste, grapefruits with a medium bitter finish. Mouthfeel is oilier than I was expecting, but still pleasant.
