Bottle. Pale Gold in colour. Very Hoppy; earthy and piney resinous hops. Very Fruity; grapefruit citrus. Malty; caramel, toffee, some biscuity malts. Nice hop/fruit/malt balance. Liked this. Easy drinking. Nice APA! (2011-04-17)

Bottle. Beermoth, Manchester. 5.5%. Muddy orange. Grey tinged, Kernel swede. Juicy, ripe strawberry. Soft pineapple. Some grapefruit. Kind of an earthy, fruit pip thing. Taste is earthy bitter. Light sweetness. Soft palate. Dries out slightly. Soft bitter finish. Not the juiciest offering, but pretty good all the same. McNeillR (2329) - Edinburgh, SCOTLAND - DEC 18, 2015
Full on muddy murk, slight ringed head and film but dissapates into the gloom pretty quickly. Nose is creamy, seedy and lush floral grassiness. Bit pine and cheese.
Initial taste is really lean passionfruit, quite peppery lemon and a drying sweetness. Carbonation is fairly soft and it rattles around a fair bit more than the ABV would suggest, which is no bad thing. Finishes clean enough, a bit cheesy gassy pineapple and a crisp loose papaya passionfruit and a seedy bitters on the linger. dambor (826) - Berlin, GERMANY - DEC 17, 2015

Pours hazy light orange with small head. Aroma: herbs, pine, some citrus. Taste: fresh hoppy-citrussy taste, biscuit, followed by a nice bitterness in the palate. Good one. The use of chinook makes the beer feel a bit heavy despite its 5.5 %ABV. But I like it. RichTheVillan (8248) - Birmingham, West Midlands, ENGLAND - DEC 14, 2015
Bottle from Cotteridge Wines; hazy golden yellow pour with a big frothy white head, aroma has citrus and some biscuit, taste has light citrus, bitter grapefruit, biscuity malts, bitter edge, slight caramel, I’m not committing to any notes.

Another solid pale ale from the big K Theydon_Bois (20641) - Hazlemere, the lower Xhitlerns, Buckinghamshire, ENGLAND - FEB 21, 2014
Bottle, from the brewery, at home 21/02/14.
Hazed orange golden with a moderate off white covering that retains as pondwork.
Nose is orange sherbet, ripe melon, light chalky minerals, bread dough. straw, toasty, earthy hop loading.
Taste comprises orange pithdom, bread dough, light mineral tones, citric sherbets. hint of mango.
Medium bodied, fine carbonation, hop bitterness in the close.
Decent APA, had it at 3.3 to begin with but got to enjoy it more as I progressed through the bottle, not the Kernels best offering but solid as always ! madmitch76 (25568) - , Essex, ENGLAND - FEB 18, 2014

Craft Clerkenwell. Keg, So is this really a different beer from http://www.ratebeer.com/beer/the-kernel-pale-ale-c ? Lightly hazy pale gold beer, small white head. Palate is light and crispy with mild minerals. Light malt cream, pretty thin. Carbonated sting before the light fresh hops - orange, orange pith, floralness. Whispers of grapefruit and lemon. Crisp dry finish. There is a wonderful lightness about this PA but it’s still very tasty!

Hazy amber - gold beer. Small white head that doesn’t last long. Green fresh hops, slightly spicy. Whisper of mint. Some creamy malt holds things together. Trace of orange hop before the dry finish. Nice fresh pale ale.
