Postgusto frutal. Algo típica para The Kernel, pero rica.

Growler fill from The Vineyard. Pours a hazy light gold with a minimal off white head that dissipates quickly to a white lacing. Dank grassy aroma and to be honest a disappointing offering from The Kernel. Lightly hopped with Citra and El Dorado and is just lacking some punch and flavour.

42nd Floor Bottleshare. Thanks to Fergus for getting this for me and boo to Wingman for browbeating me in to sharing it! :) Light haze on this gold beer, tidy pale cream colour head. Palate is smooth and semi dry, reasonable carbonation. Light malts, light creamy sweetness. Pithy hops. some citric peel and a mild tropical fruits. Smooth dry finish brings modest bitterness. Lacks Kernel’s usual hop brightness but then we have had some excellent double IPAs tonight, so it might be me!

Bottle from Valhalla’s Goat. Mudy amber brown, not much head. Orange aroma. Sweet biscuit and tropical fruit flavour. Sweet caramel aftertaste. Lot of mixed flavours. Quite good.

March 2017 - Bottle share at One Canada Square. Big thanks to Kenny. As ’The Kernel Pale Ale Citra El Dorado’, 5.4%. Dark hazy orange, still with a foamy white head, leaving full lacing. Aroma is airy, peach and straw. Body is smooth with soft carbonation. Taste is again light peachy fruity sugars, straw, grassy hops, pine note. Very nice APA. (3.9)

Bottle at home in London - picked up at the brewery. Pours clear gold with foamy, white head. The aroma holds peach, tangerine, mellow pale bread. Light sweet flavour with hints of piney bitterness, lightly dried pale bread, orange rind, melon. Light-medium bodied with fine carbonation. Finishes with mild oily pine, rindy bitterness, some grass, more tangerine and melon. Good one.
