Little cloudy dark orange to amber beer, creamy irregular off-white head, pretty stable, bit adhesive. Aroma: citrus, grapefruit, pineapple. MF: ok carbon, medium body. Taste: fruity, almost sweet, ripe fruits, grapefruit, tropical fruits, tangerines. Aftertaste: soft bitterness, citrus, grapefruit, caramel, bit sweet.
Tap at the brewery - London. Pours hazy gold with a foamy white head. Lovely aroma, loaded with fresh and pithy citrus, some lemon and orange. Light sweet flavor with further pleasant citrus pith, balanced pale malts, minerals, peach and mango. Light bodied with fine, caressing carbonation. Clean, stony finish with dry orange and grapefruit. Great. jamestulloch (4418) - Edinburgh, SCOTLAND - NOV 6, 2013
Bottle from Cornelius. Murky amber body with a medium white head. Excellent lacing. Pungent tropical fruit aroma - pineapple, lime and mango. Caramel and Milkybar in there too. Flavour of grapefruit, pineapple and a hint of chocolate. Sweet and juicy. Medium body with an oily texture. Carbonation is almost flat. A fruity, flavoursome APA. This version was 5.4%. Bottle from Bridgend Service Station, Freuchie. Pours with the usual deep haze. Lightish amber with a darker middle in the glass. White head that fades slowly. The usual awesome aroma. Lots of tropicality with balance. Syrupy pineapple. Guava. Oranges. Peaches. Some red berry notes too. Taste has a lovely juice-drink sweetness. Sweet brioche malts. Pithy bitterness comes through quickly. Doesn’t assert itself too harshly. Weirdly, there’s a metallic thing I can’t quite pin down. Thin but proportionate body and mouthfeel for a pale ale. Carbonation is restrained. The usual high standards from the Kernel.....I expect nothing less RichTheVillan (8443) - Birmingham, West Midlands, ENGLAND - NOV 7, 2013
