Aroma: Medium tropical fruit, mango, paw paw, strawberries
Appearance: Hazy. yellow body. Small, white head. Small to fine bubbles. Fair retention. Lacing.
Flavour: Medium-high bitterness. Medium tropical fruit, mango, paw paw. Medium-light grapefruit, pith. Medium-dry finish with fruity, soft finish.
Mouthfeel: Medium-full body. Medium carbonation.
Overall: It is a very nice beer, but not quite to style for an American Pale Ale. Might be closer to a NEIPA?
500 ml bottle, poured. Thanks Christel!

Keg at CBC Islington, 29/11/17.
Lightly hazed golden with a big old off white head.
Nose is melon, orange, straw, bready notes, grains, lemon rind.
Taste comprises orange pith, citric tinged straw, melon, light pine trace, soft breads, mango.
Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close splashed with balanced hop bitterness.
Not up to the Kernels usual standards for me but a decent enough APA none the less. DruncanVeasey (8603) - Nr NUNEATON, Warwickshire, ENGLAND - NOV 27, 2017
UPDATED: NOV 28, 2017 August 2016 at The NP to some vinyl bossa nova. Pale floaty orange suspended finely with bits. Slim white cap. Bouquet of sharp juicy kumquat and lime, dragonfruit, pineapple jelly and flowers. Signature chaffy base topped with punchy quinine grapefruit and flowery hop. Blackcurrant, dragonfruit and shampoo. Exotic and mildly punishing. Too bitter for pussies and not balanced enough for aficionados. Bonus point.

Aroma is grapefruit with some juniper. Has a modest head and clear gold body. Flavour is good fruity hops with pineapple and grapefruit notes. Dry finish. Good hoppy character and that’s about it, maybe that’s enough. teorn88 (8066) - Rimini, ITALY - JUL 10, 2016
50cl bottle from the brewery. It pours a hazed golden color with a minimal white head. Aroma is fruity and crispy with notes of grass straw melon and citrus peel. Taste is also crispy, medium grainy grassy and lightly fruity sweet. Medium bodied with lively csrbonatin. Overall, less bright than top Kernel pale ales martjoobolut (5468) - Tallinn, ESTONIA - JUL 9, 2016
Bottle, bottled 24.05.16 (from beer gonzo). Pours golden. Aroma is sweet, fruity, citrus, tangerines, melon, grape. Flavor is sweet and bitter, citrus, tangerines, grapefruit, malt, some biscuity notes and melon. Finish is dry-grapefruit bitter. Body is light or evern bit watery. Overall: was bit sceptical about huell melon, but this is good (probably because citra is really dominating and I love citra). The_Osprey (9916) - Richmond, Greater London, ENGLAND - JUL 9, 2016
500ml bottle at home in Richmond as ’The Kernel Pale Ale Citra Huell Melon’, 5.1%, about 6 weeks since bottling. I think this is my first encounter with Huell Melon hops. Dark golden, translucent, lightly sparkling, foamy cream head leaves sparse lacing. Aroma is a touch buttery, pineapple, lemongrass. Body is quite frothy, soft carbonation. Taste is smooth and flowery, waxy citrus and malted milk biscuits, gooseberry pie. A fairly solid Kernel APA. Not getting the same experience as others but, having now had over 170 of their beers, I imagine that this is due to their variability. The same bottling run can often yield both amazing and average beers. Kernel - please start canning your hoppy stuff. Please. mR_fr0g (14246) - Hertfordshire, ENGLAND - JUL 4, 2016
Bottle at home picked up from the brewery last week. A mostly clear bright golden yellow coloured pour with a lasting white head. Aroma is a lovely mixed bag of fruits with melon, tangerine, grape and little mango. Also some nice raw lightly toasted grains, freshly baked bread on the nose. Flavour is composed of semi sweet, raw bready grains, tangerine, orange peel, melon , grainy bitter finish. Assertive bitter hops. Palate is semi sweet, highish carboantion, dusty grainy dry finish. REally nice raw quality.
