Bottle, The Offie, Leicester. Hazy golden with a white foam. Melon and white grape with bitter lemon. Green peppery pine with dank grass. Hints of peach and pineapple. Herbal and leafy. Good balance of juice and pithy bitterness.

500ml bottle, pours murky golden amber with initially medium white head which settles but lingers throughout. Aroma is a bit dank and not overly fresh smelly however I pick out various fruits such as apricot, spruce, citrus and some dough with biscuit malt. Taste is very well balanced sweet and bitter and a touch of sourness. Lasting finish and lively and fluffy mouthfeel. A great beer!

Very hazy gold - amber beer, good pale cream colour head. Palate is airy and with decent fine minerally carbonation. Dry malts, light sweet creamy sweetness. Good piney orange and tangerine. Traces of pith and peel. Mild mango led tropical fruits. Light dry finish. Marmalade bitter linger. Nice one, light and bright and very drinkable.

Bottle. Beer Central, Sheffield. Pretty murky orange colour. Lovely Kernel swede. Nose is peachy, a bit estery, with some baked orange. Taste has a juicy sweetness, with some esters, and some light spicy bitterness. Soft and foamy mouthfeel. Light hop spice on the finish. Good stuff.

500ml bottle at home in Richmond watching The Firm. As ’The Kernel Pale Ale Citra Polaris’, 5.1%, 6 weeks since bottling. Very dark orange or brown, hazy, lightly sparkling, foamy off-white head leaves thick lacing. Aroma is cheap 10p blue ice lollies from my childhood - not that that means fuck all to anyone else. Also bubblegum, some rhubarb notes, passionfruit. Body is smooth with soft carbonation. Taste is fruit and barley squash, creamy malts, stones, a little liquorice and pine, finishes dusty with icing sugar and some astringency. Very drinkable stuff. (8-3-7-4-16=3.8)
