September 15, 2015 at Craft (Islington) - keg draught. Hazy pale yellow-gold with an attractive creamy white lasting head. Smells a bit weedy, some alcohol - definitely more Simcoe than Citra to me - taste too; as always with Kernel PA/IPA offerings there is little to criticize - just the right amount malt backbone and no skimping on the hops, nice bite to it. Airy, solid carbonation, only a medium length finish, with a solid and consistent mid-level bitterness that doesn’t linger too long - you just want another immediately.

On keg at Ushers. Appearance - usual cloudy Kernel thing. Deep yellow golden this time. Nose - some tropical and citrus jumping out of the glass. Taste - yes, mango and lime confirmed. Particularly bitter lime pith finish. Palate - light bodied with a creamy texture and a long dry finish. Overall - usual high quality Kernel beer even if it looks like a puddle.

Keg @BierCab, Barcelona. 06-10-2015.
In short: zesty pale ale.
Pours quite hazy deep gold with nice white head. Moderate head retention, some lacing. Zesty, citrusy, lemon nose. Medium body, average carbonation, crispy texture. Taste is moderate bitter, orange peel, dry aftertaste.

Cloudy golden color, small head. The aroma is not bad, but it shows some of that paper/grain malt found sometimes in Europe, even in the good breweries; some citrusy hops. The mouthfeel is very dry, the malt is delicate, a bit bready, the hop is a bit lemony.
Nice.

Bottle from Cotteridge Wines; hazy amber pour with a thin white head, thin white head, aroma has tinned peach and zestry citrus action, taste has light citrus, some biscuit, hints of mango, slight passion fruit.

jjsint (3116) - Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, ENGLAND - AUG 16, 2016
Bottle from the Lyric, Soho. Mid- to dark gold, slightly hazy. Not much head or visible carbonation. Big grapefruit hit in the nose as would be expected. There’s also a slight tempering nutty note, but it lies low beneath the citrus aroma. Bittersweet taste, gentle and balanced. Lingering hops in the finish. Soft carbonation with thin to medium body. One of Kernel’s tamer efforts but none the worse for it.
