tiong (7620) - Espoo, FINLAND - JUN 3, 2017
330ml bottle from Ales by Mail. Bottled 13.02.17. Pours clear golden with a foamy white head. Aroma of grassy hops, earthiness, hay, hints of farmyard and citrus. Taste is crisp, earthy and slightly grassy with some hay and hints of rustic farmyard. Finish is crisp, grassy and earthy with some hay and citrus. Okay. The hop profile makes this feel more like a German pils than an APA.

The_Osprey (9140) - Richmond, Greater London, ENGLAND - MAR 31, 2017
330ml bottle at home in Richmond, as ’The Kernel Pale Ale Jester’, 5.3%, about 6 weeks old. Amber orange, translucent, highly sparkling, big pillowy foamy dense head. Doesn’t look like a normal Kernel - looks Belgian! Aroma is satsuma and caramel, faint lavender. Body is smooth and rounded with tingly carbonation. Taste is soft chalky floral notes, limestone, gooseberry, gravel or sand, papery bitter finish, astringent linger. Odd profile. Quite a nice hoppy APA.
