DruncanVeasey (8603) - Nr NUNEATON, Warwickshire, ENGLAND - APR 13, 2015
500ml bottle. Burnished orange under a low white collar. Pungent, leafy just-squeezed breakfast juice nose with crystallised lemon, tomato stem, guava, pink grapefruit and papaya. Add to that a hearty chunk of cheddar dipped in the rabbit tray. MASSIVE. Huge stewed green, multi-coloured tropical and floral hop flavour awash with peach, rose, grapefruit, tangerine, passion fruit, lemon zest et al. Chewy malt backdrop lush with biscuit. Stewed like a double-bagged pint of Darjeeling, bags left in. Chalky and tannic-like. Fantastic balance and sessionability without sacrificing an iota of hop extremism. Superlative.

Pours hazy amber with a small white head. Aroma of citrus and melon. Flavours of tropical fruit, melon, pine, grass. A little earthier than I expected. Light to moderate sweetness balanced with a very late but satisfying bitter finish. Medium bodied, light to moderate carbonation. Lovely.

Thanks to Leighton for this bad boy. Pours a pale cloudy orange gold, minimal white bubbles. Aroma is faint Chardonnay, cat pee, tangerine, socks, citrus & grass. Flavor is light must, mango, citrus, grassy resin hop. Light body, super drinkable... Embodying “crushable".

Clearish golden, ringed white head and a wee tuft of film. Grassy melon, pink grapefruit. Initial taste is lean passion fruit, creamy enough and decent clean carbonation. Finishes long gripping bitterness.
