What’s Brewing 2016 day 1. Hazy orange body with a small white head. Aroma of caramel, pineapple, orange. Taste is medium bitter with a low grapefruit and pineapple note. Good, but a bit weak and thin.

anstei (2670) - Zurich, SWITZERLAND - DEC 8, 2016
Bottle from Beers’n’more. Pours slightly cloudy golden with a low to medium head. Aroma is floral and slightly citric, hints of soap. Medium is rather light, with a soft carbonation. Light sweetness and low bitterness too, but good malt flavours still. Probably aims to be refreshing, but is a bit too flat for that. Nice.

minutemat (6133) - Shropshire, ENGLAND - NOV 16, 2016
Keg @ Chez Sophie, Shrewsbury. Pours a misty gold, thin white head. Aroma is light exotic fruits. Taste is smooth with good exotic fruit flavours, pineapple, soft grapefruit with lime making an appearance on the finish. Delicious.

Keg at the brewery Zwanze event. Palate is light, dry and has decent fine carbonation. Thin dry malts, mildly sweet. Mellow hop skunk. Mild hop spice and mild pine. Dry spicy citrus, some peel. Finishes with a light sweetish floralness. Not the biggest or fruitiest of Kernel APAs but a couple of glass went down well enough. 3.5

Bottle. The bottled version brings out some mild tropical fruits, mango notable, and adds a bit of complexity.

Keg at The Hanging Bat. Hazy golden body with a thin white head that fades. Low carbonation. No lacing. Aroma of lime, pineapple and pine. Flavour of juicy hops - notes of grapefruit and lime pith. Thin body with a watery texture. Very soft fizz. Fruity with a light bitterness.

Leighton (22555) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - OCT 9, 2016
Bottle at home in London - picked up at Offie & Toffee. Pours unclear gold with a creamy, white head. Great aroma, with notes of peach, apricot, tangerine. Light to medium sweet flavour with bright, juicy citrus notes, understated pale malt sugars, balancing piney bitterness. Light bodied with fine carbonation. Great balance in the finish, with nice pithy citrus, melon, nectarine, tangerine. Fresh and vibrant. Typically stellar.

Keg at Zwanze 2016, Kernel, Bermondsey. It pours a clean golden color with a medium white head. Aroma is stunningly rich with ripe tropical fruits, zingy tangerine and lemon peel, apricots, light dank. Taste is also rich in citric fruity lightly sweet hoppy notes, melon, apricots, grapefrut, tangerine, mango, dank. Medium bodied with good carbonation. Overall, could drink this for the rest of my days.

The_Osprey (9358) - Richmond, Greater London, ENGLAND - OCT 1, 2016
Keg at the brewery for Zwanze 2016, as ’The Kernel Pale Ale Mosaic Enigma Simcoe’. Hazy orange, sparkling, foamy off-white head, light lacing. Aroma is vibrant and fruity - mango, orange and straw. Body is smooth with soft carbonation. Taste follows aroma - vibrant fruit salad, mango, straw with a grassy finish. A lovely APA.
