Very hazy amber beer, small off white head. Palate is light and crispy. Lovely fresh beer! Nice floral notes - typically Motueka. Well balanced with mildly bitter citrus and tangerine and grapefruit. A sweeter orange note before malt cream becomes noticeable. Finishes crispy with whispers of lemon and grapefruit. After a long journey back from the Olympics - this really hits the spot! Nice medium bitter aftertaste. A belter of a Pale Ale!

Bottle at home in London with Lyoli. Pours an almost clear gold with a small, white foam head. Gorgeous aroma of dry grapefruit and grass. Light to medium sweet with moderate bitterness of melon, grapefruit, dry grass, subtle lemon. Light bodied with fine carbonation. Mild dry finish, some citrusy sugars, some sun-drenched grass, some crispy wood, pale malts, and lasting grapefruit. Excellent APA.

Scopey (15431) - Croydon, Greater London, ENGLAND - SEP 14, 2012
Bottle from Beer Boutique, Putney. It pours clear golden, with a medium white head. The nose is orange, mango, sweet tangerine, tinned peach, icing sugar and metal, with a lingering herbal note (sage?). The taste is creamy, zesty citrus, tangerine, tinned peach, apricot, peppery spice, light herbal and some soapiness, with a very dry, citric finish. A solid APA, but the motueka doesn’t do anything for me....

2012-11-02. Crisp bright orange body, small off-white head. 3+ Modest hoppy aroma, lightly fruity quality that I can’t place. 7+ Quite interesting, light riesling like petrol touches, Flavour has green leafy hop character, odd bitterness to it, fruit hops. Okay, but a bit strange. 6+ Average bodied palate. Really interesting hop character but I am not sure I care for it. Bottle shared by HogTownHarry

Bottle @ Home. The pour’s deep amber orange with a small head. The nose is floral hops, some spicy peppery grass and mild tropical fruit salad. Some citrus. The taste is light bitter dried grass, some piss. Quite acerbic, funky and floral. Decent yeastiness, chalky. Despite this, it’s a real pleasure to drink. Overall, nice work (as usual).
