Pours hazy amber with lime, nettles and passionfruit nose. Gentle carbonation, a bit flinty, mango and nz hop bitterness. Oh I do love motueka dry finish. JohnRMurdoch (5050) - Glasgow, SCOTLAND - SEP 16, 2012
500ml bottle from Great Grog. Hazy amber brown colour, reasonable head. Spicy fruity hop aroma & flavour. Slightly watery but stil a good beer. jamestulloch (4328) - Edinburgh, SCOTLAND - AUG 14, 2012

Appearance: Typical Kernel murkiness - deep orange body with a small, white head that gradually fades. Decent lacing.
Taste: Lychee and freshly cut grass. Caramel and slightly earthy. Dusty, dry bitter finish.
Palate: Medium to full body with a slippery, almost chewable mouthfeel. Very soft carbonation.
Overall: Once again, Kernel delivers another hoppy classic. Would love to know what the three ’CCC’ hops are...
Bottle from Mr Lawrence Wine Merchants, Brockley. Amber pour with a white head. Tangerine and grapefruit aroma. Crisp citrus action, bit of orange peel in the flavour too. Very smooth. Liked this one very much. kiwianer (3428) - Otorohanga, NEW ZEALAND - DEC 13, 2012
The head is medium, the body orange-brown. It smells very citrus-bitter. The taste is citrus-grape, then fruity-bitter, nice hoppy. This beer is better without the last rest in the bottle. Very nice! 12/12/12/12/11/12

Light amber straw, soft haze, bubbly white head
Aroma - tropical fruity malts, sweet pale malts, mango, pineapple, soft fruit salad
Taste as aroma with that nice sweet backbone of Kernel malts. Really good flavour
Palate - medium carb and body. Finish as main flavour with a good bitter sweet fruity linger
Overall - Very good APA. This was 4.9% - a really flavourful pint and well balanced ThirstyBird (2997) - Berkhamsted, Hertfordshire, ENGLAND - AUG 20, 2012
Thanks kiwianer for sharing...my first beer from The Kernel.
Pours a hazy honey color with smallish off white head. Smells of tropical fruit, yeast, some bitterness. Taste is bright fruit, some tartness, citrus hops create lasting dryness and bitterness. Light body and nicely carbonated.

Bottle from Kernel Brewery. Colour is soft golden amber, touch cloudy, big white head. Nose is strong citrous, lemon, grapefruit, tangerine, piney. Taste is grapefruit, lemon citrous, touch grassy malt, pine and crisp bitterness. Has enough balance between softer fruit and piney bitter minerally notes. dantheman278 (1365) - SCOTLAND - SEP 1, 2012
Bottle at home. Slightly murky orange amber, thin bubbly white head. Lovely big fruit bowl NZ hop nose, mango, candied orange, definite floral vinous Motueka thing. Nice sweet juicy punchy fruit front, transitions to a flinty chalky dusty dryness. Soft floral bitter finish. A bit flat, seems to be a problem with a lot of beers from the new brewery. But still tasty. thepegjett (1281) - Cambridge (via Winnipeg), Cambridgeshire, ENGLAND - AUG 10, 2012
Light caramel, citrus and melon. Light sweet and bitter with a smooth mouth feel. OK, but nothing great.
