Very hazy amber beer, small off white head. Palate is light and crispy. Lovely fresh beer! Nice floral notes - typically Motueka. Well balanced with mildly bitter citrus and tangerine and grapefruit. A sweeter orange note before malt cream becomes noticeable. Finishes crispy with whispers of lemon and grapefruit. After a long journey back from the Olympics - this really hits the spot! Nice medium bitter aftertaste. A belter of a Pale Ale!
Bottle from Cotteridge Wines; great aroma of grass & hope when I popped the cap off, pours a hazy yellow amber. Tastes of citrus with a high level of bitterness quite dry nice. Leighton (21551) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - JUL 28, 2012
Bottle at home in London with Lyoli. Pours an almost clear gold with a small, white foam head. Gorgeous aroma of dry grapefruit and grass. Light to medium sweet with moderate bitterness of melon, grapefruit, dry grass, subtle lemon. Light bodied with fine carbonation. Mild dry finish, some citrusy sugars, some sun-drenched grass, some crispy wood, pale malts, and lasting grapefruit. Excellent APA. stravale (3078) - Co. Westmeath, IRELAND - AUG 23, 2012

Bottle from Rehills, Newcastle. A cloudy yellow beer with tropical fruit and orange marmalade flavours followed by sweet and bitterness on the finish. DruncanVeasey (8239) - NUNEATON, Warwickshire, ENGLAND - AUG 10, 2012
500ml bottle, bits and all. Clouded orange with a fine slim foam. Fairly outrageous soapy aroma with florid tropical, pineapple, mango, Fruit Salad chew and guava notes. Big perfumed tropical hop with a dry bitter finish that sneaks up on you. Deep husk and grapefruit bitterness. Deeply soupy on the dregs but that’s Kernel. jamestulloch (4161) - Edinburgh, SCOTLAND - AUG 14, 2012
UPDATED: NOV 17, 2012 Aroma: Kiwi, passionfruit, grass and muted citrus notes.

Appearance: Typical Kernel murkiness - deep orange body with a small, white head that gradually fades. Decent lacing.
Taste: Lychee and freshly cut grass. Caramel and slightly earthy. Dusty, dry bitter finish.
Palate: Medium to full body with a slippery, almost chewable mouthfeel. Very soft carbonation.
Overall: Once again, Kernel delivers another hoppy classic. Would love to know what the three ’CCC’ hops are...
Thanks kiwianer for sharing...my first beer from The Kernel.
Pours a hazy honey color with smallish off white head. Smells of tropical fruit, yeast, some bitterness. Taste is bright fruit, some tartness, citrus hops create lasting dryness and bitterness. Light body and nicely carbonated.

Bottle @ Home. The pour’s deep amber orange with a small head. The nose is floral hops, some spicy peppery grass and mild tropical fruit salad. Some citrus. The taste is light bitter dried grass, some piss. Quite acerbic, funky and floral. Decent yeastiness, chalky. Despite this, it’s a real pleasure to drink. Overall, nice work (as usual).
