Bottled 15.07.2013 - Pours clear orange with a small smooth head. Aroma of zesty exotic fruits, lemon, citrus and grassy hops. Taste is smooth, exotic fruity, lemony, citrusy and crisp malty with hints of caramel and herbal grassy notes. Finish is citrusy, exotic fruity and slightly zesty with hints of herbal grass and caramel. Okay, quite light bodied pale ale.
50cl bottle. Yeasty orange flavour, slightly murky, doesn’t have the hop hit you come to expect. Lemon biscuit finish, bit disappointing Scopey (14992) - Croydon, Greater London, ENGLAND - SEP 13, 2013
Bottle from Kernel. It pours clear gold with a medium white head. The nose is pine, creamy, tangerine, apricot, dried mango and fruit salad sweets. The taste is crisp, creamy malt, pine, tangerine, orange, white grape and grass with a dry, light citric finish. Medium body and fine carbonation. Clean, easy-going and very, very drinkable. Great stuff! JohnRMurdoch (4923) - Glasgow, SCOTLAND - SEP 13, 2013
330ml bottles from Alesbymail. Hazy amber brown, not much head. Strong pine hop aroma. Pine hop aroma. Biscuit citrus hop flavour. Watery with orange aftertaste. Good but far from Kernel’s best. lusikka (7814) - Tampere, FINLAND - SEP 11, 2013
330 ml bottle.
Pours a cloudy dark golden colour with a white lacy head. Aroma of grass, strong herbal notes and pineapple. Flavour of strong herbal and grassy hops, slightly harsh grainy malts, pine, pineapple, caramel sweetness and surprisingly strong minerals. Has certain elements which are common on German hops. Medium bodied, harsh and maybe a bit too carbonated mouthfeel with a bitter, herbal, mineral finish. Good, but not as good as their best APAs.
