Sample at Borefts Beer Festival 2011. Pours an unclear and amber beer with no head. The aroma is malt and hops with citrus, tropical fruit, pine and flowers. The flavor follows the nose. The palate is sweetness. Overall a good beer.

Weicher bitter-hopfiger Antrunk, angenehme und harmonische Noten. Rund, der Hintergrund ist mild. Daher ist das Bier nicht bermig vollmundig. Citrus-Abgang. Gut! 11/11/11/11//11

Tap @ BBF. Another Great Kernel Hop-fest. Hazy orange color, not much head. Aroma has notes of sweet caramel, toasted bread, spruce, lime, fresh and sparkly hops, citrus and some faint yeast notes. Taste is very flat with very little carbonation. Lots of exotic notos with orange lime. Fairly nice balance. Excellent IPA

This beer starts off so well. It has a great golden coloration, a wonderful tarty aroma, and the taste is pungent and grapefruity. Its incredibly flat however, and after a pint you cant help but wonder if you can stand any more of this vitamin C...

Cask @ In De Wildeman. Yellow color, murky. White soapy head. Strong hoppy aroma, resin, grapefruit, a bit acidic. Resiny bitter flavor with a hint of acidity. Dry longlasting bitter finish. Apparently with fresh hops in the cask, because I had to pull some leaves out of my mouth a few times...

Bottle. Pale golden pour with a tight white head. The aroma is fruity and juicy. Lots of passionfruit, tangerine and a light pineapple character as well. Tropical and fruity with a kiss of pale crackery malt backing it up. Fairly juicy and a little bit fruity. Its got a light yeasty nose through the middle. There is also a touch of light dustiness on the back. The flavour is unfortunately not quite where the aroma is. Its a solid brew and an interesting hop.

Seriously amazing pale ale. Classic style yet new and innovative. Using the Motueka hop from NZ: "New variety NZ Hop, this hop was bred by crossing a New Zealand breeding selection (2/3) with Saazer parentage (1/3). Primarily used for flavour and aroma its profile is citrus with lifted lemon and lime followed by a background of tropical fruit. Great in a Bohemian Pilsner." This hop adds pineapple+lemon with a dry cloud forest finish. The beer a ittle cloudy but that just adds character to a sweet brew. The BV Crew rarely give out 18/20. This one deserves it.
